It's nice to see a club show some loyalty to a rider (although I know that the numbers probably fit), a rider who has been a pretty loyal servant to the sport in this country... no nonsense with him, he turns up, puts in the effort, may not have scored the amount of points that people were expecting last season but at least he was here! I hope he can bounce back to better form this coming season

Speedway On Tv And The Internet In 2025

BSN is the future imo -
I'm interested to know what "full story is even worse" is?

Brighton Bandits

Thanks, will it be available to watch in the UK do you know?
-
got it, thanks... I think over here we call that a fly on the wall documentary. Interesting that he's managed to do his own, when it was a stated ambition of DSE to do a Drive to Survive style documentary for the SGP series and we've yet to hear about when that will air
-
What's real-tv? You'd think that Discovery, being the rights holders of the SGP & British League, would make it available to a wider market than Denmark
-
Has anybody seen the adverts for Team Pedersen on their social feeds? What is it? It looks like it may be a documentary series on Discovery+ about Nicki Pedersen, but the ads are in Danish so I can't really tell. Does anybody know? Has anybody seen it? Is it available in the UK? Is it in English? Has it got subtitles? Is it any good?

I don't know where a lot of the franchise names originate from in speedway, some are more obvious than others, Ipswich Witches for example or Wolverhampton Wolves. Many franchise names in other sports have some kind of local connection, Sheffield Wednesday "Owls", Owlerton, San Francisco 49ers in NFL for the miners... what would they be for past or present Speedway clubs? I'll start you off: Scunthorpe Steelers

I made a point of keeping a close eye on him last time I saw him in the flesh as he usually flies under the radar whenever I've seen him. And he looks to be a very good rider technically, not wild, no daft moves. He reminds me a bit of Lee Richardson, Lee could hardly score a point in the early stages of his career and it was a wonder that he stuck at it. If you're the type of rider who is a "steady eddy" you really need to sort your gating out and that's probably Drew's main deficiency. I don't know the guy personally, just from what I've heard on podcasts etc. and he seems a very level headed young lad with a good outlook on the sport. Like I say if you're a see where I am at the first bend and stay there merchant he needs to make sure he's in the points at the first bend, can't really see him riding it balls out scraping the fence pulling Zmarzlik moves to get by his opponents.

Just the kind of association speedway needs! Couple this with Michael Jackson being mentioned in the WSM pitch and the sport will be back in the papers quicker than you can say noncey nonceington

because it's a numbers game?

I don't believe it! Brain injuries aren't just limited to memory, they can leave your memory intact and alter your personality... James Cracknell & Richard Hammond are 2 high profile examples. It's often only those that are closest to the person that will notice this and for others that interact with them they will seem to be "normal". Take a look at this:

Condolences on the loss of your friend I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one

The tone of Garry's post read to me that PC had suffered a stroke and wasn't the 'old' PC. He then says the book will stay on his shelf unread again forever... R&R has questioned whether PC's personal appearance should be cancelled! If PC's actions have been exacerbated by a medical condition... where's the humanity and understanding, no he's a "bitter old man" and there's "no excuse for this appalling behaviour". Having watched a family member decline with a brain related illness they were not the person they used to be and instead of treating them how I always had done I had to adapt the way I interacted with them. And again I say, a personal note has been brought into the public domain, which imo it shouldn't have been.
-
Perhaps they'll take a leaf out of the BSPL book and just ignore them
-
I wonder where Cradley Heath will run their home meetings?
-
I hope nobody in your family suffers a stroke and you just abandon them because they're not like they were before... that's quite sad
-
I agree with pretty much everything you say, especially PC's health problems. I haven't read the book and it'd be a pretty boring read I suspect if we didn't have his opinion on things, what I think has crossed the line is the sharing of a personal note written by PC. It has nothing to do with any of us really and shouldn't be used as a stick to beat him with by some.
-
Personally I don't think there's any reason for PC to be cancelled. He's obviously got beef with Belle Vue and the people involved with the club, it probably should have stayed private and especially his personal issues with a recently deceased member of the Belle Vue staff. However disgraceful those comments were it should have stayed between the 2 of the people involved. This dirty laundry shouldn't be washed in public.

Is Puk signed for the whole season or just the start of it?
