  1. Most clubs can't regularly field 7 riders so there's no chance of having 2 Paramedics and 2 Ambulances in place... unless they can operate P/R, or a guest replacement from the NHS
  2. That may very well be true... not as funny though
  3. If Sam's instructions on track layout and design were anything like his TV commentary it's no wonder the track turned out like it did
  4. How many of the previous failed promotions has Mr Rogers been involved in do you know?
  5. Is there anybody in the new Brum promotion that has been a promoter before other than Rogers?
  6. I also think the better quality of rider that is now participating in the CL has helped, the lesser ability riders still tend to struggle to get around BP comfortably
  7. It turns out that this particular turd can be polished... the racing so far this season has in general been excellent! I don't think Newcastle are going to server up any entertainment at any away track this season tbh... ask your friend about Heat 15, that was a great race! Hopefully when the cubs get some meetings under their belts the twins will be a little more consistent and gain some confidence as they get more track time... I don't know if he's eligible but it looks as though Anders Rowe may also benefit from some cub time
  8. Some cracking Speedway racing again at BP last night, with the exception of the Newcastle match (and maybe the Birmingham match I don't know, I didn't go) there has been some really entertaining Speedway at Leicester this season so far and even the last race against Newcastle was a great race. So credit where it's due to the riders and the track staff, whatever they're doing is working a treat!
  9. I think you maybe getting me mixed up with somebody else. You seem to take an awful lot of interest in my historical posts, that's the 2nd time you've referred to them recently... I'm beginning to feel like I'm being stalked, am I going have to get a restraining order?
  10. No... we've got Exeter's bumps... and your holes . Nick Morris is going to disappear down the one entering the third turn before the night is out!
  11. I think he's been studying the Exeter track as well... standing here tonight it reminds me of the county ground, the straights are riding like a moto cross track!
  12. We prefer to discuss what has happened rather than what might happen... nobody cares about that, and get back to your Scunthorpe thread
  13. Faff? Faff! Many people enjoy tractor racing I'll have you know
  14. It makes no odds to me really... i just won't make the trip over from Leicester that's all. Sounds like the club should be sponsored by the Chinese Communist Party
  15. I griped about the team they put out in the first match of their season at Leicester on Twitter... got blocked, tells you all you need to know about this promotion
  16. The only thing missing that is different from a traditional TV broadcast is a replay of the heat after it's been run, even if it's not clipped up like it is on the TV, which I can understand would take resources, even if it was replayed in it's entirety it would give the comms something to talk about in between races. Otherwise, everything else for me is spot on
  17. If only there were somebody that could negotiate a deal on behalf of the BSPL and then pocket half of any savings made
  18. Maybe the same in this country also, I don't know, I've always wondered what happens when tracks over here hold training days, whether there's medical cover then?
  19. I bet they wish they'd lumped out for an extra ambulance then... could of saved them a packet!
  20. Do each club source their own I wonder or do the BSPL (A) work as an association and negotiate a contract with a national private ambulance provider to provide 2 ambulance cover to around 350 meetings nationally each season. 2 ambulances at each meeting at £800 each equates to around £560,000... that's some bargaining power!
  21. we're already getting some replays, which were missing the first week, so I hope so
  22. "BIRMINGHAM’S home Championship opener against Berwick was abandoned on Wednesday due to a lack of medical cover in the local area." I like how they blame lack of medical cover in the "local area" and not the stadium... if they think punters are taken in by this whitewash, they must think we're all mugs
  23. I seem to remember having inadequate medical cover in the past... not sure about this season though
  24. Yeah, wasn't thinking, watched it on my phone while i was eating my dinner
