  1. It's puzzling why in both of the leagues play off's they've abandoned the use of tac-subs? This has basically killed off any interest in any of the play offs so far with the possible exception of the Peterborough vs Wolverhampton 2nd leg. BV v Sheff, Lions v Scunny and Edinburgh v Redcar are all effectively dead rubbers unless something remarkable happens. Why run a year long league competition with the use of tac-subs that gets your team in a position in the league to then ride in play-offs that don't allow the very rule that has helped you get there!!! Another piece of British Speedway madness
  2. Lucky he was well yesterday evening but knows he's not going to be well tomorrow night... all the best to him though, hope he recovers quickly for the semis
  3. "Illness" according to the Leicester website... there's been a bit of that about this year
  4. Bit of a joke isn't it, no wonder the Leicester promotion have kept quiet about it... how on earth do you "promote" this fixture?
  5. LEICESTER: Nick Morris, Dan Thompson, Ryan Douglas, Kyle Howarth, Hans Andersen, Joe Thompson, Zaine Kennedy.SCUNTHORPE: Adam Ellis R/R, Simon Lambert, Jordan Palin, James Shanes, Jye Etheridge, Josh MacDonald, Connor Mountain.
  6. But a team competing in another league does? Interesting...
  7. I think Travel Plus Tours are still running
  8. British teams full of foreign riders? British teams made up of riders that ride for other clubs?
  9. What if MPT pulls out after his first ride though? Then Panthers are up the creek. Having Kerr is insurance
  10. Going by that theory you or I should have a place in the GP series Both of his podiums came on his home track, yes for a wildcard in Poland, no for a wildcard for the whole series imo
  11. JA £10k in 1979 = £50k today. Also nice to see a healthy crowd... on Scotsman's corner
  12. So they could/should have called it off at 17:30?
  13. Don't forget we're talking about Eurosport here
  14. May not be televised from EoEA on Thursday if all the kit gets half inched lol
  15. Do you think they leave all the equipment at the EoEA?
  16. Hi, Maybe, I don't know, last time I walked around by the 3rd/4th turns I'd never seen so many tractors in one place! I thought every track had a blade? Don't they blade the track after every meeting?
  17. Maybe they should have worked on the track until 8pm like Sheffield did
  18. When you say "give it every chance" do you mean hope it dries out enough for it to be acceptable to the riders? I'm not sure what work went into getting the track into a condition to race after the rain hit as Eurosport didn't show anything like they showed from Sheffield. And a former promoter on here said that it doesn't make any difference whether the TV cameras are there or not.
  19. Is it conceivable that one or both of the legs of the Final may not be televised if they have to be rearranged? With Eurosport anything is possible!
  20. Another example, it was bone dry about a mile up the A1, Peterborough were quite unlucky copping the rain
  21. Is there an "official" Test Match race format? Back in the day when they were regular fixtures on the calendar they always used to be 8 man teams riding over 18 heats
  22. No complaints from me when it's actually rained, I was told sometime back on these forums that the fact that TV are covering a match makes no difference at all.
  23. What a shambles this TV contract has been and is turning into. Currently the Peterborough match on Thursday is not being shown and the Belle Vue match is! Even though BV are 10 points up and the tie is effectively over
