Do they do a "it's all over after the start" tee?
-
Looks like good race night wear. Made by the Polish dispeed merchandise company.

I'm not sure why speedway would be one of the few sports where those that attend wouldn't buy merchandise. Maybe its because outside of a speedway arena you probably wouldn't be seen dead wearing it. Looking on the redbubble link I posted earlier it's the kind of stuff you'd wear out and about town, well I would anyway. Yet there they are, selling their stuff, no minimum orders, probably with just a load of blank t- shirts that they print up as and when needed.

Yet, there they are, for sale

https://sportgangshop.pl/sklep/ ... still no underpants, although I think I can adapt one of those face masks!

There's some interesting, and dare I say it, fashionable and funky stuff available from here: https://www.redbubble.com/shop/?query=speedway&ref=search_box https://www.redbubble.com/people/Port-Stevens/shop It's all a bit generic, I don't know who/what redbubble are it looks a bit like a bit of a design marketplace

Not so sure about Ippo... if there is a link it's not very visible (to me at least)
-
That's a shame because it maybe only needed another hours work because it certainly came alive after the interval
-
Hmm, to be fair it wasn't hidden, there was a guy in front of me at the turnstile that refused to pay it when told about the charge.
-
Heat 13 was certainly a cracker... people used to use the expression worth the admission money alone... before it was 17 odd quid
-
It very much depends on what you're looking for from your speedway, quite a few people are happy to watch strung out poor racing as long as their team are coming home with a 5-1, for me that's not speedway but I understand and accept that others enjoy that sort of thing.
-
Sounds like you needed a time machine!
-
How about club fold up chairs? The fold up chair seems to be a staple at most tracks

Underpants!

I honestly don't want to be negative but prior to the interval as a spectacle of speedway I thought it was total rubbish, with the exception of heat 2. A lot of riders were struggling to stay on their machines, with the entry to turn 1 and 3 being most problematical. There was another race as well, 2 races in 1, with about 100 yards between them, other than that a lot of the races had the riders really strung out. From the interval onwards I thought it was excellent speedway and you won't see a better race than heat 13 anywhere. I think a lot of punters will go home remembering those last few races.

There seemed as many Brummie fans there last night at BP as when I went to PB the other week to watch the re-opening Redcar match. It wasn't great to watch a number of the Birmingham riders unable/unwilling to do 4 laps, a number of them were struggling to ride the track (as were most pre interval) but you're not going to learn how to ride a track parked up on the centre green. Somebody that was having a go was James Shanes, didn't get the points his efforts deserved... what an all action style he has! I noticed this too, also Bomber seems to be "experimenting" with a different kind of engine at the moment, I'm guessing it's a Godden as it doesn't look like a GM or GTR, it's let him down a few times for Peterborough.

That would be a surprise move, do they do that with anything else do you know? I don't even know if Eurosport Events do anything else, or is Speedway their first venture?
-
Right, positive comments only... erm... Heats 13, 14 & 15, more of that please! Heat 13 especially, proper Speedway! It was the best race I've seen anywhere this season! Also Jason Edwards was very good entertainment value.

Paris Olympics, I forgot to put that sorry, hopefully as they're running the gp's then they'll Arrange them around it

I seem to remember a few years back (probably 10 to 15) there used to be a Polish merchandiser who was there at some of the bigger events, Brighton meeting and collector fayres etc. I wonder what their story was. I guess he was trying to cash in on some of the Polish riders appearances in the British League. I seem to remember he had some nice looking stuff

You can kiss goodbye to watching any live GP coverage in 2024 on Eurosport... better be prepared to buy the Eurosport Player if you want to see them

The sun's trying to put an appearance in now
