  1. Has there been any official news about Kurtz, his injury and why he wasn't riding tonight? Pretty piss poor in 2024 when it's the easiest thing in the world to put a tweet out about your club captain! #WheresBrady
  2. When you can't even be bothered to find out what is wrong with Brady Kurtz and you've been in the pits with him earlier in the afternoon and been around the pits all evening with all the riders and managers there's no way on earth you're going to be able to relay the pay off fixture situation to the viewers!
  3. You know Kurtz has a pass... as seemingly does Tungate, unless The Weasel is on his holidays
  4. So if they touch the tapes, they don't get a warning? It's only if they move? Still don't know whether the green lights were on when he touched them, maybe the announcer just got it wrong or I misheard
  5. So looking at the referees scorecard on the SCB website it does look like Mulford was excluded from heat 4 for a "starting offence" and was then subsequently warned in heat 8. Although the spread sheet is not entirely clear what the starting offence was I assume it was for tape touching, so shouldn't Mulford have also been disqualified from heat 8? Also were the green lights on when he touched the tapes in heat 4? Is being disqualified under 2 minutes a starting offence? It would be more helpful if the spreadsheet had different exclusion codes. Blimmin good match though, well worth the trip
  6. Josh Pickering wow! He's certainly run into some form lately, since he's got his shiny new engine! Got his elbows out this afternoon, should make tonight tastey
  7. The woman announcer said "before the green lights came on", as long as the 2 mins clock wasn't at zero he shouldn't have been excluded. I can't see the green light or the clock from the back straight but I can certainly hear the announcer!
  8. If, as the announcer just said, Mulford touched the tapes before the green lights went on, surely he shouldn't have been excluded in heat 4?
  9. No, but you get the engine noise, which is all part of it for me, couldn't watch on mute... even if I made my own noises 😁 That means paying for it though... not sure I want to pay out any more money on TV subscriptions. I happily watched it when it was on Eurosport, not sure why it isn't anymore. I find that Dave Rowe talks quite fast as well, but strangely when he does it on BSN he seems a bit more calm and for me is probably the best, most knowledgeable commentator. I used to subscribe to Premier Sports when they had Ekstraliga but dropped them when they dropped it.
  10. I would certainly buy into it a bit more if it was televised in the UK with English (or even Ermolenkish) commentary. I watched a little bit of it last night and just couldn't get on with them gabbling away in Polish... gave up in the end and watched some ESS that was available on catch up this month for free on Premier Sports to Virgin Media customers, although not my cup of tea as Alex Raby talks far too quickly for my liking at least it was in English. I can't understand why so many on here watch the Ekstraliga with Polish commentary
  11. As the SCB like to hand out suspensions (although Tungate hasn't received his latest suspension yet), they should make an example of him and give him a long ban from British Speedway, years not days. I know it won't make a difference to him but it'll make a statement to other riders that think they can get away with a 28 day ban and then return when it suits them.
  12. There's no shame in accepting help from a 3 times World Champion and King of the Decks
  13. Pathetic... but true, he was on his way to being an Adam Ellis, Danny King, Charles Wright type until DJ Woffy showed him the way
  14. Don't tell anybody, especially the Poole fans (like they'd see this on a PL topic!)... but I actually think the move to Poole has done wonders for him, had to improve his gating as it's such a dog rubbish track
  15. Bewley came good when DJ Woffy started helping him out with kit etc.
  16. Come back to me when Cairns is the finished article and we can discuss him, I wish the lad well but I've seen them come with all the hype and then disappear without a trace over the years.
  17. Cubs didn't want to change a winning table topping team. Fricke had to move away to further his career
  18. I thought exactly the same, maybe it's because the bikes aren't whizzing past your nose like they are at a league track. You're quite far away from the action and the stadium is that big, I find it can all be a bit distracting.
  19. Is that because there's only 3 in it? 😁 I think it was mentioned at the last Leicester home meeting it will be staged along with the British Youth Championship and it's a tenner to get in
  20. Because we are led to believe Cardiff is out of contract, the crowds are around 50% down on their peak, all the other big stadium SGP's have gone with the exception of Warsaw, Belle Vue have openly said they're after a GP, WBD gave them the SoN to prove they could stage a GP and it wouldn't be the first time a GP has been announced but then failed to materialise... and there's still no date been announced, which doesn't usually happen. You don't have to be a genius to read between the lines
