  1. Woop! I really enjoyed the SWC this year at Peterborough, so hopefully we'll be going to this one
  2. S'alright. Thought you might be interested in it
  3. Just seen this topic posted on the Stars fan forum, kings_lynn_hun. Thought you might want to read it! http://starsrus.proboards.com/index.cgi?bo...amp;thread=1460
  4. Well done to Jonesy Let's hope he makes more progress!
  5. Go for it Jonesy Hopefully we'll see him make a breakthrough with racing in the UK next season!
  6. Hindsight's a wonderful thing isn't it?! On the performances Lewis and Danny gave on Monday, they deserved to be there. Why kick them out? This gave them the opportunity to gain experience riding abroad and learn from their mistakes. I didn't see the meeting as I don't have Sky, but judging by the comments I've seen online, the Brits done us proud as they gave it a go.
  7. Well, £20 was well spent last night Compared to our performance at Coventry last year, I thought we done a lot better. The atmosphere was fantastic and the racing was top notch. The Pole supporters probably added to the atmosphere with their crazy antics (funny stuff ) but they're just really passionate about their speedway and they were just enjoying themselves. We were sat in the stand just coming out of bend 4 and we had quite a few Poles around us, but they were only chanting, dancing and waving flags and banners about, which I don't see a problem with, but I was told some were behaving badly on the back straight. I suppose we were just lucky to have some decent ones near us! Team GB done themselves proud last night. This year, they rode like they all wanted to give it their all. They all tried. No one can ask anymore of them than that. Compared to last year, I think that's a step in the right direction. Of course Danny King deserves a special mention. What a bloke! For us, he was worth the entrance fee alone. Such a shame to see him ending his night with an EF - I bet he swore after! Anyway...on to the race off now. I hope GB shows as much fight in Poland as what they did last night
  8. Well done to Darcy, Tai and Lewis (even though I'm not really much of a fan of his!) Nice to see both Brits progressing through! Commiserations to Linus, but least he's one of the reserves anyway.
  9. Great individual performances from Darcy and Linus Very sad news about the young German, Sonke Petersen Thoughts are with him and his family.
  10. QUOTE (sean b @ Jan 31 2009, 01:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> is this kozzas last year in under 21s? He turns 21 this year, so yep, it's his last! QUOTE (sean b @ Jan 31 2009, 01:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> its good to hear that darcy passed kozza in final so atleast we know we should see some passing this year with darcy in the side All of the riders can make passes though. Hopefully we'll see some good stuff from all of them
  11. Well done to Darcy and Kozza. 1st and 2nd...very good indeed
  12. Well done to the Star boys Darcy and Kozza Certainly didn't disgrace themselves
  13. Any news of what's happening in the NSW State Championship?
  14. Denmark Australia Sweden Poland (actually Poland could be 3rd and Sweden 4th - I'm very undecided ) I'd like to see the Aussies or the Swedes win though, not the Danes Think it could be close anyhow. Haven't got Sky, so won't be able to see the meeting itself until next week probably, when a mate gives us the tape. Hopefully he'll record it!
  15. Didn't know where to post this, seeing as there's so many topics, but decided to post views on last night here. First off, I'm actually glad I went, despite GB's poor overall performance It was such a pleasure to see Daniel Nermark racing again in particular. Always have argued that he could mix it up with the top riders and I think he proved that last night. Might be old and past it to some, but not to me I was contemplating getting a Swedish flag and showing them some support, but decided against it...looks like I should have done what I first thought after all... The only positive to take from last nights performance by GB was Olly. I know many thought he should have done better, being classed as a "track specialist", but what else could the guy do? He appeared to be trying his heart out and at least he scored a few more than someone I could mention *cough* Simon Stead *cough* Since the line up was announced, I've always said it should have been someone like Woffinden or Kennett in in the place of Stead. I think they may have given a better account of themselves. As for Nicholls, Harris and Richardson, well only Harris and Richardson appeared to do anything much, and even they looked as though they were struggling. I had actually completely forgotten Nicholls had had that tumble with Daniel Nermark in Sweden recently, so maybe that was why he done so badly? Harris I know had broken his nose in the British GP, so presumably that didn't help him much either. 9 times out of 10, races are won from the gate and last night, Team GB just didn't make the gate (or got shoved out on the 1st bend) and even when we were behind, we just couldn't find a way past. Anyway, despite all that, I am glad I went. Thinking there could be some team changes come Thursday though... Sweden, Poland and Russia as opponents...oh heck!
  16. Hoping to go to this meeting. Only just found out today that dad's friend is planning on going and he's invited us, so, fingers crossed Woooooo for Daniel Nermark I'll be rooting for Sweden then too, as well as the Brits! AJ and Lindgren aren't bad either. Can't comment on Davidsson or Ljung as I've not seen them ride before. Anyone know the line up for the other nations?
  17. Woo for Daniel Great stuff. Topped my day off nicely!
  18. Do you mean where can you see meeting reports/race cards online? www.speedway.nu is a good website.
