Phil Morris Tony Atkin - Made in Wales! Tom Brown Jamie Westacott These are the only riders I can think of that are of PL quality (Brown and Westacott are reserves at the most at the moment) and there is always Lord of the Longtrack Nick Mallet. Graig Gough use to be PL quality and was actually a decent prospect but he seems to have gone off the boil since his move to Camarthen and I don't know if he still rides!

As you are a Swindon fan I guess you are talking about Gjedde, tip: open your eyes!

Swedish Grand Prix

Excelllent point Rabbit and one Benifield should seriously look at! They do seem to be alienating the fans that would maybe have followed every GP in its pre-Benifield days! I certainly believe the SGP series could fill up most stadiums in the world if priced reasonably and shown on terestial TV (but thats a different discussion altogether!) -

Can I remind you of Cardiff and Denmark! In my opinion it's certainly more entertaining at the moment than the EL! -

Unfortunately for you and many others Rabbit, if the SGP is to progress as the premier motorsport series it sets out to be then it needs to continue to race at stunning venues such as Ullevi, where by certain limitations (football pitch inside at Ullevi, Millenium allows part of pitch to be taken up) mean the tracks have to be large, big tracks must be a part of the SGP series. In my opinion the bigger tracks have come along way since that terrible night at Berlin (Remember that!), I cant see them racing at Ullevi next year though especially after the crowd tonight. Going slightly off topic whatever happened to Benefield and their promise of SGP racing in countries such as New Zealand and places such as Monaco? -
Introducing the spectacular Jackie Crump coming to a track near you!
-
Dont speak to soon! And Liontamer at least nobody got hurt, just posting what was inevitbly going to be posted just with something I found quite humerous especially as Crumpy ended up falling himself!

Swedish Grand Prix
JT replied to The Grim Reaper's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I personally thought the track provided great entertainment as the meeting went on, I agree about Loram though aswell as Max and Sullivan, they may be able to cut it in league speedway but when it comes to the GP's their younger counterparts such as Iversen, Bjerre, Jonsson, Andersen etc show that on the international stage even the Scandanvian youngsters are overtaking the veteran campaigners. In my opinion all three of these riders must win a GP or at least make a final if they will have any chance of a seeded place next season. Maybe Sullivan who has made a final and a semi this season has a stronger case than Loram or Sullivan but it is frightening to see how fast the younger Scandanvians are coming along! -
What did Grumpy do? Karate kicked Nicki Pedersen when he didn't make the gate, I noticed it in the first replay but the SKY commentators especially Sam didn't realise it till the second replay
-
If anyone goes anywhere near him then he will fall off, if the likes of Kolodziej, Zagar or Lindback stay away from him then they will make up the podium! You are not saying that KB is doing the Ermolenko trick ? If KB gates well, they will never catch him. Dont worry Garf my freind this 'skill' will help him on his quest for GP status but he will not win this weekend if the riders I mention dont go within a 5 yard radius of the little GeordieDane!
-
After a brilliant win (wont take that away from him tonight) surely Hans Andersen deserves a seeded place in next years GP, especially seen as Lindback the so called sensation (just being hard on Poole fans! ) could only manage 2 points and that dodgy Pole who hasn't a chance in hell of winning a GP in his career are in the GP's? I use to be a fan of Andersen untill his World Cup exploits but I would not deny him a place in next years GP series now it seems the likes of Sullivan, Loram and Max are well and truly past it at GP level!
-
Nice to see Jason Chan sorry Crump give Mr Pedersen a taste of his own medicine in heat 19! Other notes from the meeting, surely Loram, Sullivan and Max wont be given a seeded place next season? And what about the sensational Antonio Lindback, out at the first possible stage where as his Danish counterparts Iversen and Bjerre made it to the semis! A lot to discuss as we enter the eliminators! NCSC 2004

I think you are underestimating the power of Nick Mallet here Shawn, now Kelvin Tatums successor as Lord Of The Longtrack, our very own Australian/Welshman should be World Champion of both long and normal track speedway in two years time. Iversen, Bjerre, Zagar or Kolodziej, NO Nick Mallet is the real future of speedway!

GP of Slovenia wild cards
JT replied to tomazpozrl's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Am I the only one suprise at the lack of inclusion of former GP rider Matej Ferjan? I know he is riding on a Hungarian licence but I dont believe this Santej guy is Slovenian is he? -

JT replied to Govinder's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
We can always hope! I think anyone can go through with fast starting and a bit of luck! -
If their is any shale on the track then little Lord Kenneth will hit the deck like an Italian footballer, Mr Zagar will blast past the Lord of Brough Park on to the top of the rostrum!

In fact a lot of the top riders in this field were in the semi final that Watson top scored in, of course he is an outsider as a PL rider but Stoney proved that PL riders can be the GP series! -

Wato scored 13 in the quater final and top scored in the semi! I just hope their are some new names in the GPs next year, any two from PUK, Wato and Floppy would be brilliant! -

Or Wato! What else did Craig have to do to merit a place in his own team managers side! 10+ point average, unbeaten in CChase, only Aussie left in qualifiers, top scored in the majority of qualifiers and streets ahead of Boyce this season! -
OK we have established that Hans Andersen is officialy the biggest pil*ck in speedway but what did you think of the the teams tonight? Sweden 1st 1.Mikael Max - The inconsistency he seems to have picked up since changing his name was evident here, showed moments of the old Karlsson but was subdued at other times. *** - 3 stars 2.Tony Rickardsson - Immense, had a strange last place in between four brilliant rides not all from the start! ****/* 4.5 stars 3.Antonio Lindback - Had a nervous start but made up for it with some exciting racing, not the best meeting I have seen him ride but quality none the less! *** - 3 stars 4.Andreas Jonsson - Came good when it mattered, was always exciting but not at his best. ** - 2 Stars 5.Peter Karlsson - Why oh why hasn't a British team snapped him up yet? Like Rickardsson a superb performance, after an exclusion in his first ride. ****/* 4.5 stars TeamGB 2nd 1.David Norris - Sadly had a poor first and last ride, other than that he was immense and showed why if he makes the Grand Prixs next year either through the Vojens final or as a GP seed he will be a force to be wreckoned with! ***/* - 3.5 stars 2.Lee Richardson - After a nightmare first couple of rides we could not have asked for more from Rico! ***/* - 3.5 stars 3.Mark Loram - Brilliant Loram riding, never gave up, Loram at his best at a track that will always be his home, would have placed him in Scott Nicholls place for him to ride in that last heat decider! ****/* 4.5 stars 4.Scott Nicholls - Looked slightly off the pace after a great first ride, gave it his all which is all you can ask for really, just a shame he saw a red light! **/* 2.5 stars. 5.Gary Havelock - Joint man of the match for me along with Loram, one of the best races for a long time with Rempala and was unlucky not to score two more! ****/* 4 stars. TeamDanmark 3rd 1.Hans Andersen - Cheating prat who has lost the respect I had for him, was putting on a good show untill he cheated. -***** minus 5 stars! 2.Nicki Pedersen - Nothing like the real Nicki Pedersen, usually so good in big meetings a Poole was awful tonight! * - 1star 3.Kenneth Bjerre - Lost any control when he got into the dirt and ran into the fence, a forgettable performance apart from his first ride! */* 1.5 stars 4.Niels Kristian Iversen - Had a meeting to forget really on a track he seems to dislike, was however one of two Danes to win a race and what a brilliant race it was, interesting to see how similar his and Lorams styles were when they were racing neck and neck! ** - 2stars 5.Bjarne Pedersen - Was always in the action but never won a race! **/* - 2.5stars Poland 4th 1.Krzystof Kasprzak - Rubbish! - 0 stars! 2.Tomasz Gollob - Rubbish untill his last ride where he still wasn't very good! /* 0.5 stars 3.Jaraslow Hampel - Another rubbish performance from a GP rider mixed with a couple of average rides! */* 1.5 stars 4.Janusz Kolodziej - The first time I have seen him and what a brilliant display he gave, was fast willing to mix and and is another one to add to the list of future GP stars that will ensure the future series is exciting! **** - 4 stars 5.Marcin Rempla - Incredible ability to turn the bike on a six pence, remenicent of Gollob his ride with Havelock was one of the best ever live on SKY! ***/* - 3.5 stars

When was Nicki Pedersen dirty? Infact had it not of been for Hans Andersen we may be World Champions and any dirty riding by Pedersen would have been ignored anyway, the fact is the ref may have put decisions in our favour but he was clueless and completely out of it, Andersen on the other hand knew 100% what he was doing and as Scotty nicely pointed out his bulsh*t riding has probably earnt him a few bob!
-
I wouldn't go as far as saying the best team won after all the Brits stuffed them on Monday, well done to them but we will never know what would have happened if Nicholls had been given the run on the first bend without that tw*t Andersen blocking him off and letting Karlsson through!
-
I couldn't care less about the launguage rules on this thread, Hans Andersen is a cheating ###### who spoilt one of the best ever International meetings by throwing the race, Shooting Star wake up and smell the coffee the man is a cheating pillock who let Karlsson through, how is that speedway? I have now lost any respect for him now, the meeting was superb (Havelock and Rempala was one of the best races I have ever seen on Sky) and Andersen has to go a spoil it all by blatently throttling off and letting Karlsson threw, OK Karlsson was in a favourable position to finish second at the time but that was only due to Andersen shutting Nicholls of on the first bend, if he didn't want to race then he should have let one of his team mates have the honour of representing his country!

No suprises; 1. Hans Andersen 2. Nicki Pedersen © 3. Kenneth Bjerre 4. Niels-Kristian Iversen 5. Bjarne Pedersen Walking around the pits after Mondays Test Match I overheared a certain former Peterborough and now Belle Vue man (non rider) telling a few of the Danes that he will get them a practice session at Arlington this Saturday!
