  1. Yeah but it doesn't stop the rain 100% getting on to the track, and it's not a Cardiff style roof.
  2. Incidentally there are still a wide variety of line-ups online, including sites having several contradictory ones within their site. The official site has an old and wrong listing too. The MiniMax racecard can be downloaded now as i've left the doubtful rider slots blank, which will only take a few seconds to fill in and you're ready to go. If we ever get confirmed line-ups i'll add them immediately, although like i say it's just as easy to scribble in the riders names. The TV guide you see on screen which you access by your remote control. Electronic Programme Guide.
  3. Thanks for that, i nearly headed out early for the evening lol. Is it going to be delayed though? there's mention on Polish sites of one or even two heavy downpours and the possibility of track work.
  4. OUCH! they've pushed it back to 6:25pm in order to show the qualifying for Superbikes, which likely means if that doesn't run to exact schedule we're going to be joining the meeting late or have delayed coverage !!!!! i glanced too quickly they referring to SGP after that. Has anyone got a Facebook account so you can ask what's going on? Gee going to have to start looking for streams. UPDATE There has been a massive downpour i think, i did mean to mention earlier in the day that there was a possibility of thunderstorms.
  5. Very nice time slot indeed. Like you say though we got to hope we get racing from the start.
  6. There's a lot of complaints coming through on the Polish sites about the high ticket prices in view of the changes in the line-ups. Many fans not happy at all. Yeah that's changed since earlier. Needless to say the official site is way out of date with even older line-ups. Also that page with Zagar at reserve still has Nicki Pedersen listed to ride! I don't want to issue a blank racecard so hopefully people will hang back downloading, although i see the server clicking away ooops!. In the meantime i'll put TBC in the Danish and Czech rider slots which will enable those who need to download now to do so. The nature of the racecard (unlike yourself i've only made one when i normally do three versions) means there will be no large amounts of writing to do upon announcement of the teams . Ok pop back to check later for any news. On to the racing is everyone presuming it's going to be a walk in the park for Poland?
  7. For what it's worth lol only adjusted line-up i've seen has Hans Andersen at number one and MJJ number two.
  8. As it stands at the moment with Nicki Pedersen withdrawing and Australia to name a reserve (or not?) SWEDEN Andreas JONSSON Antonio LINDBACK Peter LJUNG AUSTRALIA Chris HOLDER Davey WATT To Be Named or No Rider USA Greg HANCOCK Ryan FISHER No Rider RUSSIA Emil SAYFUTDINOV Grigory LAGUTA Artem LAGUTA CZECH REPUBLIC Ales DRYML Matej ZAGAR Tomas SUCHANEK POLAND Tomasz GOLLOB Jaroslaw HAMPEL Adrian MIEDZINSKI DENMARK (riding order to be confirmed) MIchael Jepsen JENSEN Hans ANDERSEN No Rider? Only six hours to go to the start of the meeting......nice eh?
  9. By the way regarding the speedwayupdates calling it European Best Pairs, there is actually an ongoing FIM competition European Pairs championship. We've already had the semi-final in Hungary and the final is to come in Herxheim, Germany.
  10. Apparently they didn't pick Iversen because he has a poor record at the track or doesn't like it, one or the other or both!
  11. Just seen the news.... NO NICKI PEDERSEN! Still no word on the Australian reserve, surely there a few of them already in Poland for the league matches on Sunday? OK updated the racecard......who knows if we are done yet for the day lol. We're certainly waiting for the Australian reserve at least. If they don't have one we risk getting some three rider races in the case of injuries during the meeting with so far USA and now Denmark no reserve. FREE 2013 Eurosport Best Pairs Racecard - Torun, Poland (Saturday, 8th June, 2013 Local TIme 7pm, BST 6pm, UTC/GMT 5pm) AVAILABLE as of NOW! You can directly download it from the top of the following page.* DUAL GRID MiniMax Racecard 2013 EUROSPORT BEST PAIRS *This racecard is available with the officially announced provisional line-up. The original line-ups are having changes made at a late stage. I will make any amendments accordingly. It's your choice as to whether you wish to print out on the provisional line-ups or wait. INCIDENTALLY I WOULD RECOMMEND HOLDING BACK FROM DOWNLOADING UNTIL A LITTLE LATER UNTIL THE DANES CONFIRM THE RIDING ORDER. They had 1. Pedersen 2, Jensen 3. Andersen. Now whether Andersen goes into Perdersen's number 1 slot or Jensen moves into the number one position i don't know. Anyone know how it goes normally in such a case?
  12. Cool i can't wait to see America's invisible man riding his bike lol. Unless he's riding so poor that they give reserve Tomas Suchanek his rides here and there.
  13. The main thread was at the top but whatever it's no biggie at all. 2 Marie's? errrm let me pull back the covers to see...i got a Donna....a Shirley....a Linda......nope no Marie or a couple of Mary's lol lol. OK joking and dreaming aside no i don't.
  14. Is that possibility taken from a Sportowefakty article? On their live score page they 'currently' state "Run the race: 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th 10th 11th 12th 13th 14th 15th16th 17th 18 19 20 21 Play-off: 22 Final: 23" Not sure why they would alter a format that has each pair meeting each other? But i guess we shall see and if so the air will turn blue around me lol.
  15. First of all don't take too much hurt or umbrage at criticism as one should always bear in mind the extreme ratio that applies in that people always pick up a pen or type on a keyboard to complain way more readily than they do to praise. It did cross my mind that the chronological order of match reports was to squeeze out a little more space. I agree with whoever mentioned earlier that there seems to be a little more reading available. It's not far off 11pm and i'm off out for the night so haven't got the time to check back through the thread, but if the 'all over the place' reference was only myself that made that i do indeed stand by that. I see no reason, and please can you give one, why the news about a club should be split over several pages, what is the purpose behind that? No offence to whoever posted it but i was taken aback that someone said they would consider cancelling their subscription because of a minor layout change! Nothing that would stop me from subscribing (lol) BUT....one major annoyance i forgot to mention....the use of bold font for the home side in the fixture list. Sorry but i think that is truly awful....lol yeah i used bold font deliberately there It is not easy on the eye and very imbalanced for a fixture involving two teams. Glad to see that you keep to a minimum these days the, at times, psychedelic clash of particular font colours against a background that makes one feel as if one has overdosed on LSD, trying to read it has everything swirling around like those black circles on a white background that start to spin the longer you look at it. Got to admit though veering on the edge of that is the still current relatively heavy use of white text on a black background, bearing in mind that you use a very small text size it can tend to zoom in and out a little lol. If you instantly look up and blink your eyes you can see the text in front of your eyes, yeah ok i do like those pictures where using a black and white contrast you look at the picture then close your eyes and can still see it clearly lol lol. By the way my eyesight is perfectly healthy when i am mentioning all this stuff about the text and background. At the end of the day i still praise and congratulate all involved in producing a truly superb magazine...in the past i've gone into detail as to the many reasons the Speedway Star is state of the art when it comes to layout (nope not got time now to dig them out). So do take in the positives that are often mentioned in the forums about the magazine.
  16. Always worth a first port of call when you can't get on to a site is http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/
  17. Dear God noooooo.....and if so....get it out of this thread and into it's own please.
  18. It isn't the 'European Best Pairs'. There is already a thread into it's fourth page that i'm very surprised you wouldn't have thought to look at before starting this thread. It is near the top of recent threads when you enter the international section, not brain science to link it to the title of the one you've just started lol Speedway Updates has given it a wrong title too, maybe they'll change it before the meeting starts? For what it's worth it's called the... 'Eurosport Speedway Best Pairs'
  19. The thread that covers this is deep into it's fifth page in the SGP section of the forum. http://www.speedway-...opic=73466&st=0 I do hope all these massive non-resized pictures aren't the reason for the forum to be at a crawl most of the time.
  20. Errrm yeah, that was my point exactly I covered that in...
  21. Dackarna's attendance figures are falling at quite a rate. Fortunately they have set a break even budget figure at 1,800. Dackarnas Club Manager Jorgen Kling says "I can not remember when we had so little people at G & B Arena, actually. It becomes very deserted with so little people in a big arena." They accepted that the first two matches the weather might have put people off but their last match had perfect weather. He goes on to say that speedway has not got worse but there is less overtaking. Also he notes that the team doesn't have such a strong profile this season and is more a young and unknown team. "There is an awesome potential in this team. Despite the low attendance figures so do not club boss to some drastic measures need to be done in the current situation. - No, no! There is no panic, but surely start alarm bells to ring. I think this will correct itself during the season and we have only budgeted for a cut on 1 800. In recent years, we have always budgeted between 1,700 to 1,900 paying spectators." Dackarnas attendance average the last ten years: 2003: 4,128 2004: 4,415 2005: 4,431 2006: 4,242 2007: 5,341 2008: 4,302 2009: 4,255 2010: 3,877 2011: 3,968 2012: 3,930 2013: 2,471 (after 3 of 7 home games) (Playoff matches are not included) So fingers crossed things improve during the season, it's great to see some very good crowds on the TV each week at other tracks.
  22. Not really depending on where you've just travelled from and where you are going after the meeting.
  23. Which of the Laguta brothers are you all referring to in the above posts? Stating 'Laguta' doesn't help at all. Polish averages Artem 8.92 Grigory 8.11 Swedish averages Artem 8.95 Grigory 8.87
