  1. . So he has already decided, our management knew but as fans until it blew up last night we didn't until today finally - why? ££££££££££££ no doubt!
  2. Granted there is a small mention of it in the write up for tonight's meeting at Sheffield BUT no team line ups either for Berwick meeting or Glasgow on Sunday. Less than 24 hours now to tapes up tomorrow and no team info that's just not good enough!
  3. At Peterborough during the Frost era we had the very professional Darren Fletcher as Presenter paired with our own Edwin Overland as Announcer - it does not get better than that and was in my opinion the best in over 40 years attendance.
  4. I think on hit dry day and conditions you would expect with that gating will be key.
  5. AND that this is Speedway not Tiddlywinks!
  6. It worries me we may have even more team problems after the weekend away fixtures in Scotland - there are no fixtures at all listed on the BSPA website for Tuesday the 30th - could that date not have been used for this fixture?
  7. Thanks for your post - that helps to confirm my decision.
  8. Doubt it - Panthers BWD injured last night and also K. Hansen.
  9. Well I am not optimistic he will (the dead opposite in fact) and with the lack of weather reports from the actual Showground on the Official website (appreciate that GED and Lisa don't live local but others do) added to a trip over to Lincolnshire meaning I will not be home before 6pm have made my decision not to go so I can relax knowing I will not now have a possibility of a wasted 50+ mile round trip this evening.
  10. More rain forecast for this evening and through the night might put paid to that depending on how much actually hits the Showground - I'm 25/26 miles away and it's looking like it might start here any minute.
  11. Don't see how it's any different from those clubs who race Monday through to Thursday evenings inclusive or In Newcastle area as they regularly race Sunday evenings.
  12. Yes the Grandstand but especially the seats are dirtier than I've ever known them (post Truckfest excepted) - I would have thought another Elf n Safety issue. It's gone way beyond a duster and can of Mr. Sheen - the whole thing needs a good going over with an industrial Hoover and followed by power washing down. Another sponsorship opportunity - we could become the T. Balfe Construction Peterborough Karcher Power Washer Panthers - that would give Craig a headache every week getting that correct! Just imagine when he did a war cry - give us a T.... give us a B etc. etc....... one per meeting would be sufficient and we would be finished and gone home before he got to the end - everyone's a winner!
  13. Somebody needs to go to Specsavers - how on earth you could NOT award Man of the Match to Jack Holder yesterday totally defies belief. No disrespect intended to Bradley who also rode well but Jack was simply brilliant and our match winner.
  14. I agree a number 8 could have been used at the No. 7 position and would be a signed up member of the club. They did try by utilising the Season Ticket one but only if you had correct money - then Trevor turned up with a till and that speeded it up - I drove in at 7.10 although sat in the car for five mins expecting the queue to subside but when it didn't appear so joined it in the Car Park. At 7.30 GED was at the entrances trying to help and I thought well while he is down here they won't start. I did not miss Heat 1 so it must have started late but didn't check the actual time. As he said on the Mike later he will sort it but it is a nice problem to have - or similar. Tom needs time to adjust to this level of racing and BWD didn't look fast enough - when he did move out he got caught up the inside a couple of times. He looks to have a lot of ability give him time.
  15. I've been puzzled by that because we saw him presented with one at P&P - guessing now he probably collected Paul Starke's for him.
  16. Please be patient and I will try. http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/5567/ford-defiant-on-holder-statement For those on Facebook some interesting comments on the thread to read also.
  17. Interesting thread on Facebook some may not have seen: go to Speedwaygp page
  18. I knew there had to be a reason for your previous post. Not so long ago we did ride on a Thursday - we have had so many different race nights it's no wonder you weren't sure. I hope D/U helps his progress as both teams will benefit - just so long as there are not too many clashes.
  19. Sorry I don't speak in riddles you will have to explain that post preferably in the Queen's English - I have not got a clue what you are trying to say.
  20. Because you have "Cookie". - you must be joking - yes he's a good rider but just look at how many home maximums he scored - not as many as I had hoped and expected from a No. 1 on such a high average. From the Club's beginning we have had some cracking No. 1 riders - Mick Poole, Ryan Sullivan, Jason Crump, Hans Andersen to name a few - riders who when Heat 15 came around you had confidence in - sadly Cookie did not fall into that category for me - others may think differently.
  21. Yes am sure I heard that. When I saw Matt's interview it was news to me as I don't take the SS and know little about who has signed for whichever teams abroad. I only posted it because I was surprised no one else had and expected to read an ongoing discussion when I checked this thread.
  22. It's on the Poole 2017 thread - post 2559 - S. Shovlar has 3/4 interviews listed.
