At this business end of the season “free” weekends invariably change and not to foresee that event is short-sighted in the extreme in what is supposed to be a “professional” sport. My own wedding many years ago was dictated by the football season meaning it took place in the closed part and my other half only played for an Amateur club.

NO WAY! That’s ridiculous - first rule of being a Speedway Rider: 1). There is plenty of time between October and March to get married.

Ok but who are they dropping to fit him in?

Not a bad idea - 28 day loan like Lambo is doing for the Stars to cover an injured rider. -
Lakeside are due to entertain Sheffield on the Friday night (13th) according to BSPA website.

I would be on the phone to MPT if I were Rob - that is if he hasn’t already. -
Almost right Neil but as I travel to the Eoes from the Ely area there is a quicker route cutting out March and Whittlesey in case anyone needs it in the future. From Ely when you reach Chatteris head for Ramsey Forty Foot travelling along the road that runs alongside the forty foot river (mostly straight about 4 miles and beware it has 50mph Average speed cameras on) - at RFF turn right going through Ramsey Mereside to Pondersbridge then head for Stanground/Peterborough using the new Stanground bypass towards the A1/Alwalton/Eoes. Much quicker as no hold ups, traffic lights and minimal 30mph of speed limit.

Yes that was my take on the whole sorry mess but it never felt like Jack and Ged parted company on bad terms so never say never - just get the T's crossed and the I's dotted to make his contract watertight.

Wish they would sort that Car Park out - it's an absolute disgrace this day and age! -
Yep sounds familiar and more than likely!

"hindsight" not needed it was obvious to some of us from the OFF that's what should have happened - we've been lambasted for holding that opinion by other fans who didn't question it and sad to say look where we are now! A statement that says "considering future position carefully" not giving assurances of 2018 and beyond is very worrying!

I am not a "happy clapper" and never for one moment thought he had made the right decision as is now proved with this latest episode in the Holdergate saga - I despair of the situation which I consider totally unnecessary for the Promoter (and Club) to now find itself in and I can only hope and pray that somehow we manage to survive but I'm not confident!

I think we can end this thread for now - will need one along the lines of "Save our Club (again)".

Who is this mystery ineffective individual? - not listed in the Club Officials on the Website - strange! -
That's a completely fair and accurate post IMO and I 100% believe had we (Panthers) booked any other rider than Schlein as guest tonight the meeting would have gone to its proper 15 Heat conclusion. Our other guest Ryan Douglas rode very well without the tantrums Schlein displayed - the bloke let himself down and the sport not to mention fans of both teams. Time to hang up your Kevlars Rory if you couldn't continue on that track - have seen far worse since before you were born sunshine.

I can understand your thought there BUT in this busy tourist area in the school holidays with lack of Motorways and very limited dual carriageways people have got to have time to get home from work and then to the stadium - not easy in this part of the country at this time of the year I can assure you. -

Having seen a Polish interview video of Jack given the weekend before the 4's it is my opinion Jack had already made his mind up he was riding in Torun match on 6th August - it's been posted somewhere he flew out on morning of the 4th - therefore Its my belief GED was covering up/trying to save his skin but what I cannot fathom is why! One rider is not worth putting the Club and himself at risk of punishment for. I have not forgotten the rumoured pay off but still not worth it imho. -
Bradley Wilson-Dean injured his hand/wrist in a fall in his last ride at Rye House last night - anyone have any update on that - is he out now today?
-
. So he has already decided, our management knew but as fans until it blew up last night we didn't until today finally - why? ££££££££££££ no doubt!
