Crikey that's a lot of money for a family to find. I thought school children were free and then Students (which presumably includes Sixth formers etc.) were a Concession Price of about £5. We used to bring 5/6 children and teenagers with us throughout the nineties and early 2000s don't think we could afford to do so these days.

Well done you have obviously got more cash to spare than me (and others I imagine)to have afforded to do all that. As a Monarchs fan who has such affection for the Panthers its admirable to be so generous. As a member on here of several years standing I didn't know your circumstances until stated above and I am certain New era Panthers (12 posts) certainly didn't either. No reason for either of us to know any of this and it would have been much simpler if you had just stated to a new member that you did not know the cost of a Monarchs season ticket. Anyway no harm done we got there in the end.

I think you know very well that New era Panthers was referring to Edinburgh since you responded with - "Might be a dump to you - it is home to us" after he/she referred to it as "a dump ". It is not difficult to work out is it that whoever the poster is thinks you are a Monarchs fan (as do I incidentally) and because the recent posts on this thread have been discussing Season Ticket prices thought it would be useful to know what YOUR club's price is - so with your response above please tell me "Who is up oneself now"? Further discussion on Pl season tickets very welcome but if you wish to play silly buggers please find a different thread.

Unless you are comparing like for like it is extremely difficult to decide who offers best value for money! I would not go to Lakeside if they PAID ME £200 per season as I hate the place. Which leaves Swindon from those you quote - so an EL Club versus a PL one for starters and we have no way of knowing the expenses of running at The Abbey compared to the EoES which we know is not the cheapest. The riders these days with doubling up/ down and Ftr's are not all Elite standard as we remember them in the past, so apart from Doyle who will definitely be more expensive than any Panthers team member, could be the only Robins rider on massively better pay than the other 13 involved between our two clubs. I think it's admirable that GED and Trevor have offered Season Tickets at Peterborough at last year's prices until 11th December, and although I will not be buying one due to the fixture list not being known before that date that is the comparison that is important to me.

Ok thanks. Thought it must be some rule/visa problem as the two clubs have different home nights.

It seems there is a reason I must have missed as to why Brady cannot double up Somerset/Poole - anyone care to explain please.

That was not the Question!!!!!!

When visiting Starbucks ( or Costa for that matter) the one thing that always strikes me is how many young Mums(the under 35's SCB SPEAKS OF) and their children are eating and drinking in their establishments - it always amazes me they can afford to do so. The one group of people I would say I see the least are OAP's - now if you walk down the street to Greggs you will find a lot of them and with a bacon roll + regular hot drink OR cake + hot drink at £2 it's hardly surprising especially if they only have State Pension to live on.

hopefully NOT!

Agree or Simon.

Fingers crossed they make KB an offer he can't refuse!

In that case it's time the BSPA removed the word "Fast" from the FTR - totally inappropriate if a rider as good as Newman is now is not moving out of a reserve position.

Sunday's are a problem - Glasgow have discovered this and trying to change race day I believe!
-
Phew! What a relief!

No to Bjerres - the team spirit this year was great to see and something which has been lacking for a while - that would not be the case with those two in! Thought he signed as the first asset of the new promotion early in the season.
-
Not quite accurate enough there for me - "he is a part- time class act" but I would rather have a committed full time No. 1.
-
You can "wonder" about me all you like - I don't give a toss what you think - I am too long in the tooth to have the wool pulled over my eyes! No one and nothing said on here will change my opinion without FACTS and they will be forthcoming eventually!

SPEAKS VOLUMES IN MY OPINION! Well done for trying but the response is what I expected sadly.

Dak's mind being elsewhere and compassionate leave are not the issue here really - of course it's understandable and should be granted no question but the only professional person he should have been seeing was a Travel Agent not a Doctor. His father is far more important than any speedway meeting and why he chose to ride on Friday evening rather than be preparing to fly to Australia is totally baffling as is the fact that he still has not gone. That is what most people would consider normal behaviour and certainly what I would do if it were my father. Just so no one assumes wrongly I am an aggrieved Bees fan I am actually a Panthers supporter (and Dak fan) and would welcome him back to the EoES at any time.

I agree money is usually the main consideration but my question to you was "In your opinion do you think Glasgow speedway club would be willing to change race day to accommodate Thomsen in the team"?
