  1. And where do the majority of those second strings and draft riders also ride. -- In the PL just like our own Lasse and Joe (+ Lewis until injured) so don't see a problem in that respect.
  2. With the injury problems we currently have unless they get the make-up of the team right (and I do not include R/R in that statement) it will make little difference what day of the week they race on.
  3. Has anyone heard any info on Lasse? Was surprised he carried on Monday evening after that fall.
  4. I saw a post on Facebook yesterday in the Speedway Friends Group's page showing the red light - scroll down to the photo of the GB Team taking their victory lap with Tai standing on top of the Monster Truck's roof if you wish to have a look.
  5. F/blue and woz - pleased you encountered no problems but reading Bigballs post you must surely realise how lucky you were. Having travelled that road for many years I know when I am prepared to use it or not. As I live not far away I would not even leave home until 1 hour max. prior to a Lynn meeting and at that time I was enjoying a family Bar B Q with a couple of glasses of nicely chilled wine prior to sitting in my comfy armchair to view the meeting and having done so I definitely made the correct decision for me. The racing wasn't very exciting although GB did very well and I was pleased but it was always going to be between them and the Aussies going to the final and the other plus USA to the race-off.
  6. As a "speed" fan I think it's ok as an extra to the main event (a speedway meeting) but I won't be attending for 20 races of this between guys I have never heard of and especially on a Saturday evening when I have better things to do.
  7. I agree - I live close enough to go but am not - I know of many others doing the same - can't be doing with the hassle of traffic trying to get in and out of the place - some of these posters have no idea what a bottle-neck Kings Lynn is in the school holidays at weekends WITHOUT roadworks added to the chaos! Good luck to them but I shall enjoy it on TV as my subscription is already paid for to cover many sports I am interested in - whether I use it or not - its not on "pay to view"! I applaud your efforts to be helpful as a local despite some people's ungrateful attitude.
  8. You could try The George Hotel, in Swaffham - its about 15 miles = half hour drive from Kings Lynn. Its a Best Western Hotel and although I have not stayed in this one they are usually of a good standard. Phone: 01760 721238 Good luck.
  9. Nice to see Ales as top scorer today. Aaron did a good job guesting for Panthers. Well done boys everyone chipped in with some points.
  10. I would suggest as this is a re-arranged fixture when asked if he would be available the club were told unlikely but went ahead and booked the meeting any way! I am sure if I am wrong Neil will soon be on here to correct this post.
  11. I believe you are very close to the truth of the matter with that statement.
  12. Change of League + change of race night was always going to be a difficulty to overcome with attendances. I am led to believe that just up the road at Kings Lynn they have good crowds this season - with a successful EL Team (helped by our assets) and a Wednesday race night (school next day obviously) is the answer.
  13. Can only be a matter of time before this is cancelled - been raining all night and still doing so 25 miles from showground. If its the same there as forecast no chance.
  14. Probably our best hope - with Fisher out today can't see him being fit 24 hours later myself
  15. Think you are right sadly. What I fail to understand is Coventry have a guest for him this evening even though there are several EL meetings today but we operate R/R when ours is the only PL meeting
  16. Yes me to - was surprised when Heat 15 riders were announced and he was not included!
  17. One of us will be pleasantly surprised - I will be if Panthers win this without our Captain Ulrich
  18. Good question - with the weather forecasts for the next few days I am half expecting a rain-off but I had not considered whether the problem/s has/have been dealt with to enable racing to take place - with lack of an Official statement from the Club's management who knows what may or may not occur between now and Tuesday evening!
  19. I agree and am sure Mr. Harkiss in his roles as Edinburgh Promoter/BSPA Chairman can get to the bottom of this matter - he probably already knows but will he reveal it.
  20. Excellent - it is pleasing to have you on the Forum for us Panthers fans as our Resident Expert on Peterborough Speedway and the East of England Showground workings - some of us have been trying to fathom out these situations for over 40 years without a huge amount of success and then along comes you with all the answers - think we have heard similar to your version in the past - so try again
  21. I am not in the least surprised - historically there has frequently been problems following Truckfest - rain overnight possibly wouldn't have helped but would rather have an early call off.
  22. Nice activity for the younger fans but could you give details of gate and turnstyle opening times for this meeting as I believe its usually 6.30pm? To accommodate this I assume the time will be altered accordingly. As we are now less than 33 hours from "Tapes-up" are details of line-ups for one or both teams available yet please?
