Relegation And Promotion Play Offs
dj350z replied to flagrag's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why? -
So true Warren. I have an employee who lives down the road from the stadium and he and all his neighbors are not happy. Most have objected but the council have just said they will take into account all residents views! Great memories in there Dave. Been going since 1972!

Premiership Grand Final 2nd Leg - Wolves Vs Swindon 4 Oct

Well you called it monumentally wrong in the first leg so just maybe they can!!!!!! Anyway, it isn't an anticlimax for the neutral! -
I know you have always held this view Steve but I personally don't think he is connected with Brandon Estates. Could well be wrong and I guess it will all come out at some stage!

Kings Lynn Vs Wolves ( Double Header) 23.08,17

Ditto, I don't agree! -
I think it depends on the individual Keith. Some riders could be really fired up by comments like that from the 'boss' whilst others might think why should I bother! I do think it is very odd that Middlo is so quiet on the teams under performing though.

Middlo?! -
Have you not heard? He is coming in as RR for one of the challenge matches!!

I feel ashamed to be so apathetic over a speedway team I have supported since 1971 and in the past berated other supporters for being negative and saying they are not going to go anymore. Sadly I think I have moved on now. I will watch league speedway on BT Sport but that is about it for me now.

It is very sad abbo, I have no appetite for the sport now. Fully intended to go to some live meetings whether a Bees challenge of league racing but just can't get any enthusiasm for it. I can't see Coventry ever getting back on track anywhere let alone in Coventry. Maybe that's a good thing as the sport is on it's knees and seemingly can't turn it round. I reckon we might lose another team or 2 at the end of this season and that will not be sustainable. Watched Poole v BV last night on BT Sport and I did enjoy the meting but like you abbo, I am now reduced to an armchair supporter! Regarding Poole what is going on with their track, it was terrible. Home riders couldn't even ride it - has Matt Ford given up!

It was obvious from the very start that police were not going to get involved with a civil matter like this.Stalemate again!

Poole V Coventry Select. 19/4/17 7.30pm
dj350z replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It will be very disappointing if the Poole supporters don't turn out in force for this meeting which would confirm that they don't care about the Bees returning to the track sometime in the future. -
How is your dad David? He doesn't come in to deliver to us anymore - is he still working?
-
Is this the infamous 'hole in first bend'? Mark my words, Matt Ford will be on his bike within 2 years!
-
That's a great shame - rode well last Sunday.

If it is a Volvo dealership as opposed to Volvo Cars UK I will be amazed if it is a lucrative sponsorship deal. Dealers have very thin margins these days and I can't see them putting a lot of money into a speedway team.
-
I am really pleased he has got fixed up for 2017. I thought that he was a really good signing in his average for Coventry so I will be very interested to see how he goes this season.

The decision for Coventry to run in 2017 was taken by the BSPA by 'putting their licence on ice' due to the fact that the promotion could not guarantee returning to Brandon so presumably dropping to the Championship would not be an option either.
