  1. Top riders have made a great investment in machinery to gain an advantage, understandably they don't want it to disappear. However if they could still use their own equipment in individual meetings and on the continent I see no reason why it couldn't be done.
  2. Still think they will avoid automatic relegation if Hancock comes back, Rybnik are actually on 4 after their 5 point deduction. They should get the necessary points from Rybnik away (bonus point) and then Grudziadz at home (should win).
  3. I can see British promoters taking a bung every time there is a fixture clash like this, hope Peterborough get fined.
  4. I would love to see that, but I guess they wouldn't get enough people to make any money.
  5. Can't understand why this track doesn't produce better racing, it looks big and wide but doesn't produce many lines.
  6. there are air horn free sections and use ear plugs. I do find the music too loud though.
  7. Doyle gets away with touching the tapes in the final, https://youtu.be/MN6_Mu9-FRs?t=8612 look at the angle from above and you can see the bottom of the tapes move forward.
  8. Scunny have good availability and are centrally located. I can't see many turning up at Somerset to watch a CL pairs event, its a long way from any CL tracks.
  9. forecast to clear by about 6.15 according to met office radar, but I don't know if the covers are doing the job.
  10. Could be a big test of the track covers, heavy rain forecast most of the afternoon but clearing by start time, lets hope they do the job.
  11. Do Somerset have covers? it could really make the difference if they do.
  12. what is the rider replacement, who can take newmans rides?
  13. Is the racing normally better? its just I have been to Redcar twice and have left thinking the shape of the track and the setup as a whole is great but the racing could be better if it wasn't so slick and dusty.
  14. I thought the racing was poor, about two good heats. Some will say that's because Scunny were so bad and they maybe be right but I think the track would really benefit from some more dirt and water.
  15. Thinking of coming to this, what has the racing been like this year at Redcar? Last time I went a few years back it was really slick and there wasn't much racing.
  16. I agree, 5.30 is too early when the track dries out we seem to lose a lot of our home track advantage and I think its costing us points and probably supporters. Also there is less dust, better racing, less grading and possibly a safer track due to the consistency in the surface.I think back to 6.30 Sunday or 7.30 Friday next year. I think crowd was always going to be down because - the meeting on Sunday was crap from Scunny perspective and it dragged on a bit - Friday is not the usual race night, - Newcastle never bring many fans - There was speedway on tv
  17. Should be a good meeting, difficult to pick a winner.
  18. I thought the ref was spot on. Scunny don't seem to get any luck I am starting think they are cursed.
