I think Morris was correctly excluded imo, there is definite dirt line that develops at that late stage of the meeting, morris new he had to be on it or Jorgensen was going round him. Morris was never far enough in front of him and kept taking his front wheel. I didn't see Morris touch the tapes though. Have to say I was very impressed with Paul Starke, he had plenty of speed.

Its a blow to be missing Douglas, but I think Scunnys biggest loss is Birks. At the EWR I would expect him to score double figures from his 5 or 6 rides, I doubt Ben Wilson can match his scores. Hope I am wrong though.

So Workington make the final place. Edinburgh need to draw or win at Glasgow to get first choice opponents. who is going to choose who? I would guess Workington would be first choice followed by Berwick and then probably Scunthorpe and then Ipswitch.

Maybe not classed as a young rider but I expect Martin Vaculik to be GP regular in the not to distant future, he is still only 24 and is top of the polish league averages.

Shame there is not some kind of deal for supporters for attending this meeting and Tuesdays. If you include the Redcar rainoff that's 5 meetings in 15 days, I won't do the maths but its a lot for supporters to afford.

Went to Redcar early in the season and thought they had a great little setup, all that was needed was a bit of dirt on the track and they would get some good racing.

Temporary tracks don't take much rain, I hope they have good drainage or it could be another Riga.

With Nicolai Klindt braking his scaphoid riding in Denmark, I think scunny should go RR for this meeting. I am not sure what Nicolai's recovery time will be but I guess scunny might have to find a replacement, possibly a double change is needed if scunny are going to stand a chance of winning the play offs.

If matches are not completed before the cut off what happens to the points?

Yer its not just the winning team who see there crowds drop, without the playoffs there would a lot more meaningless matches.

Could still replace Williamson with Simon Neilsen on 3.81 average he is proven 3 or 4 point rider.

This is going to be test for scunny as most of the Redcar team can ride the ewr fairly well. Scunny by 8 if Thomas has fixed his rocket ship.

Decision time for scunny, with Mellgren scoring a max in a Swedish division 1 match, although it was a against Swedish youngsters it shows he is fit to ride. With no word on whether Klindt will be extending his 28 day contract it could be a straight swop, but I hope not Klindt would be a massive loss. Scunny could also bring Mellgren in for either Auty or Birks but I doubt this would happen. To me Scunny look a good team but not league winners I think we need a bit more firepower away from home.

Auty riding at number one with Nicolai as his partner is going to struggle to achieve his 7 point average. I am more concerned with Jorgensen(6 point average) he should be beating more than one of the opposition riders in 7 rides.Although I wasn't at the meeting so maybe the scores don't tell the whole story.

Stevie Worrall managed to get to Swindon last bank holiday Monday. I think its more a case of will Coventry let him.
