  1. Couldn't agree more, my other half said "why don't they keep the camera of him the dirty pig" she reckons he makes her feel sick too! Anyone remember 'spit the dog' on Tiswas, remind you of anyone
  2. I know I said I was not going to respond, but looking on here yesterday I just found the negativity so odd. As for travelling to Somerset, I'v seen Crumpy batter the opposition twice last week!!!
  3. But this £13.50p meeting means nothing except to Mark Lemon, I'm not disputing that the old fella deserves his day, but it can't possibly be compared to a meeting of guys scrapping to get into next years GP series. The GP challenge is the modern day equivalent to the old intercontinental final with riders battling to reach the top table. Just how many riders have battled away to try to reach this stage during the season is testament to this, how anyone can gripe about £25 entrance fee is beyond me, it is a genuine world championship event for Gods sake! edited to add; Hey Bruno "at follow the leader Coventry", you obviously don't watch much racing at Brandon!
  4. I have to say that my oplnion of Charlie'a TV skills have risen considerably after the world cup final coverage. It is difficult in the extreme to fill time to that extent on live television, well done Charlie and indeed the rest of the team, especially the new commentary pairing of Kelvin and Chris, excellent work in my opinion.
  5. Dead right, virtually nothing so far, but where do they fit speedway in even when there is naff all else happening!
  6. Have I noticed, I have the bloody T-shirt BOMBER SAYS YEAH DEF'NITELY
  7. In the circumstances as of Saturday, why not just use a simple rider replacement for an injured team member, with each rider taking a replacement ride in the order in which they appear in the team. This facility only to be used in the event of injury, not because someone has a migraine due to scoring zero from three rides, would also stop teams naming a potential match winner at reserve. Simples
  8. "And how do you feel about captaining the national team Chris" "What would it mean to you to win the World Cup Danny" "How important is it that the team get off to a good start Rob?" "Well you just finished last in your first ride Tai, are you planning any changes? "Edward, if the team can get through tonights round, how important is that for you?" "So Lewis, how keen are you to put in a really strong performance tonight?" Just my predictions for some of Charlie's wonderful interviews, for Christs sake, talk about insightful journalism
  9. Hmm I guess that wouldn't be too practical would it
  10. Just had a look at the Hans crash on utube. I don't know about the World Cup meeting, I reckon he's lucky to be walking around after that! That Russian is a danger to himself and everyone else in my opinion, too much speed and not enough experience, he just seems to think he can throw the bike in and everyone else should get out of the way
  11. Excerpt from the report on Bees website regarding Rory, not good news for aussies. "Fortunately the leg is not broken, although he does have a problem with his knee, and the shoulder injury has been confirmed as a broken collarbone. In addition to that, Schlein has suffered a small break to his wrist, and possible nerve loss in a finger. Everyone at Coventry wishes him all the best for as speedy a recovery as possible."
  12. It's called qualification for a reason dopey! So if you qualify you deserve the place
  13. Definitely not Wembley for me, it would simply be straight in and straight home afterwards, no atmosphere. the whole magic of Cardiff is that everyone is in town for the same event, as someone has already said, that could never be the case with everyone scattered around London.
  14. Really convenient then, you may as well just line up to pay, if you are going to have to queue any way
  15. The bottles of soft drinks were being sold from the refreshment outlets on the concourse, I asked for a large coke and was told that they only sold it in bottles, which cost me £2! I was stuck on cokes as I was driving back to Coventry later. As for the air horn canisters, it really is a fire risk issue. Some of the canisters on sale outside are highle flammable so I guess not to allow hundreds of them to be used in a confined area is sensible. The ones on sale from the stands inside and some from ouside are filled with a non flammable material. Incidentally the same policy was enforced last year.
  16. Have watched some U.S. racing online so I reckon this should be good entertainment, lets face it, compared to football there is precious little speedway coverage on TV. This will be a welcome addition as far as I am concerned.
  17. Having blown £700 on the German farce, I think not!!!!!!!!!! Unless I can get a multi £billion bail out from the government.
