Which Sopcast channel is it on?? -
My Dukes have been gone now for over 10 years now and my Saturday nights still seem empty, I've tried to follow Sheffield as they are now my local team and also Redcar cos of Havvy but still feel like a speedway fan nomad :-(

Think you might find out there was a few outside influences on that Sunday afternoon in the British Semi Final at Odsal that affected KC's performance as it was only a few days later when the awful incident took place, so I would take that result with a pince of salt Everyone has their opinion of Kenny as a rider, in my eyes as a kid when he was riding he was brilliant, in those days we all have our heroes and villians on the track, as for if he was World Champion material or not after his last final apperancen in 83 in Norden who knows what could have happened from the 1986 final onwards. Anyway if you've not already read the book, buy in and give it a go, Tony has done a great job and it's a brilliant read for speedway fans.

If you've not got it then buy it, couldn't put the damn thing down on holiday, brilliant read and insight!!

Any news on this book?? Had my order in with Amazon for ages now
-
I've had it on order from amazon since January, got an e-mail from them on July 25th saying: - We are sorry to report that the following items have been delayed. We also wanted to let you know that the following title, previously listed as not yet published, has now been published. Unfortunately, the title is not available from our suppliers at present, which means it could take 4-6 weeks to arrive in our distribution centre. Tony McDonald "The Kenny Carter Story"

How The Hell Was Nicholls Excluded ?

This was a classic case of six and two three's neither Scotty or Hans were totally innocent. Pesrsonally I think we are skirting over the major subject and thats the inconsistency of refereeing in a single GP not over the whole series, Mr Grotski (sp?) should have the same rules for all riders not one if your top of the rankings and one for everyone else. The GP organisers should stick to one referee doing the whole lot of GP rounds not this swapping over here and there like they do now. -

Speedyguy, since the Bradford Bulls 'developed' the stadium there is no chance for speedway to return to Odsal as they have built on or around the 3rd and 4th bend, the attached link shoudl show the stadium as it looks now. http://www.bradfordbulls.co.uk/bb_stadium_...sp?stadiumid=18 As for speedway in West Yorkshire, they are currently looking at venues in the Halifax area, so best wishes to Mr Hayes and his team with their venture

How Long Can They Go On?
Jez replied to Subedei's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think the major thing that will affect these guys is if they get a knock, which when they were a few years younger might have kept them out for a week a two, will now keep them out a hell'uva lot longer (creaking bones and all that). As foir technical ability IMHO there is still a massive gap between the likes of TRick, Gollob, Adams, Nicki P and Crumpy to say the like of the next bracket, Andersen, Scotty, Toninho
