  1. http://www.ryehouserockets.co/news.php?extend.739 Confirmed on Rye website - Nelson out - Tresarrieu in! Len said he could not face the same agony as 2 years ago!
  2. I Think this explains IAN2's post - only guessing tho To be honest I'm a Wimbledon and a general speedway supporter and have been going to Rye since 2005 when Wimbledon ceased to survive. Some years I never missed a single meeting at Rye in both leagues! but the last 2 years the ammount of meetings I've attended has dived to a much lower level and TBH it hasn't bothered me. To put it simply Rye have stood stationary for so long it has made the evening boring and I can't justify a 3 hour return journey for that. I like Malcolm and have chatted to him on a few occaisions and he has some great ideas but please don't drag my beloved Wimbledon to Hertfordshire, we tried it before at Eastbourne and it just doesn't work . Now if ever we got back into plough lane then ..........................
  3. Oh well, even less meetings for me to see at Rye then as I work on Sundays!
  4. Well it's official then - No Olly Allen in 2014? http://www.speedway365.com/pl-riders-champion-open-to-offers/
  5. Kent are the only team from all three division that haven’t named any riders yet? I hope there are not any problems still looming.
  6. Sorry not going but the updates site is down at the moment so you may not need a texter?
  7. The BBC updated at 4pm has hail shower at 6pm followed by heavy rain from 7-10pm? Not sure what to do as it's a 1.5hr journey for me?
  8. Hope all riders are Ok (updates say it was Black and not Fox in the crash? - mind you it also said there was no interval)
  9. http://www.iowislanders.co/news_11Apr2012.html Just read it - Can't say it is a very flattering report: “Wightlink Islanders had it all their own way in last night encounter with the USA Future touring team producing an untroubled 57-33 victory.” “The Statesiders had only a single heat victory to their name which came their way when the heavens opened at the start of heat 13. Apart from that the Islanders were relatively untroubled throughout the meeting.” “The home side men led from the start bursting into a massive 18 point lead as early as heat 5.” "Although not the strongest team in the World fair play to USA Future when the rough weather came they adapted to it better” Had it been around the corner I would have attended this meeting but for me it's not worth the £50+ round trip, sorry
  10. To be honest the only rider from the current team I would keep is Nelson. Neath has had a great year but can he improve on that next year? For some reason I doubt that which means you have to rely on him maintaining that average.
  11. Waco - couldn't agree more with you on every post you made on this thread. At least you and I attend these meetings which is more than can be said for some of the posters on here
  12. Ahhh! BossMan you old softie lol - you do have a heart
  13. To be honest Bossman I can't see anything wrong with your opening statement
  14. Need to go lie down now - find myself 100% in agreement with DB
  15. What! - Bryn supporting the powers that be - never be known
  16. Hmm! Topic started 36 hrs ago – 130 views and yet no replies? Is it no one is interested in the NL or these 2 teams in particular? Anyway for what its worth I think this will be the better meeting of the double header with Rye just sneaking it at the end.
  17. Can’t be bothered to read all the posts but will give my views. The only difference from my team (picked weeks ago) and RL’s team is that I had Ollie Allen in place of Danny King. Lee Richardson is a great rider but never really had it when push comes to shove. The fact that some people on hear are wallowing in past performances proves how bad we are as a speedway nation. Unless you are winning every World Cup then why stick with a loosing combination – something had to change and thank god someone has had the ba!!s to do it. Scott is having a nightmare this year and put simply, doesn’t deserve his place. Roll on the SWC and a good performance from our team – at least we know they will all be trying.
  18. They will leave it as late as possible to try and make you buy a programme The printing will already have been done for Tommorow
  19. Perhaps you and I should be on the World Cup committee
  20. For what it's worth my team would be: Scott Nicholls Chris Harris Eddie Kennett Tai Woffinden Lewis Bridger Mixture of experience and youth - building for the future
