  1. Note heat 6: The first time anyone has gone below 59 seconds in a long time! It was Justin Sedgemen.
  2. Six: Sam Hagon didn't score, though he was always on the pace. Needs to learn to make the starts at Championship standard,
  3. According to the Speedway Star, Boughen's father was taken ill, and Ashton went home with him, neither realising that this was against the rules.
  4. Well, he wasn't called 'Little P' for nothing! I stood near him at the P&P day last year, and he only came up to my shoulder. The trouble with him this year was that, like others in the team, he seems to have lost his gating skills.
  5. Like, banning any rider with an average of, say, over 8 in the Premiership from riding in the Championship? That would mean that riders with an awkward average would get a team place instead of being unemployable, as now.
  6. No it isn't. Anyone who thinks that this will solve everything is deceiving themselves.
  7. Not really; he has always scored very well at Perry Barr this season.
  8. Please do that ... we'll have him back like a shot!
  9. Does anyone know if there is going to be a stream for this match?
  10. Well, there you are then; you haven't seen anything, but you still criticise! The last two meetings - Scunthorpe at home and Redcar away - could both have been won, but for two falls (home) and a disaster for Morris (at Redcar). Justin Sedgemen was invincible at this last. Make sure that you are there tonight ...
  11. No, but I don't always go around predicting doom and disaster all of the time, either. And it wasn't just luck; the whole team rode well. Any home team should be winning heats 13, 14 and 15, but the Brummies won 13 and took a 2-4 and 3-3 from the others. Alfie Bowtell beat local hero Ben Barker in 14, which I thought was a nailed on 5-1 for Plymouth!
  12. For once you are right here ... the presenter at Perry Barr stands on the wrong side of the tapes with his nose in his programme. I once suggested that he should be sent to Wolves to see how Porky works the crowd, generating atmosphere. Or get Porky himself over here! I know a lot of people don't like him, but he is very effective; we need someone like that.
  13. Probably RR, as all of the team except Morris can take his rides.
  14. According to the Speedway Star, Birmingham have submitted a redeclaration to the BSPL, and are waiting approval. Or whether it is in the interest of the sport ...
  15. Got the gig because his grandfather was once Cradley manager, IIRC ...
  16. He looked quite useful ... worth a try out? The times were about 2 seconds slower than the Championship match, but about the same as the reserves races when we were in the NL some years ago.
  17. Does anyone know the answer to my question, re rain offs?
  18. I paid for an away match which was rained off. Does BSN pay back theses, or does the payment carry over to the next match?
