As Rico said, if you don't have anyone to keep seats at the backstraight for you, I suggest considering numbered seats in the so called Sektor A. Last yr they cost 170 zl (about 37 quid; 1 gbp ~ 4,6 zl now ). If you book it quickly, you can select between seats in the highest rows. Wouldn't expect online booking too early tho' - June, May maybe.

I musiał pojechać do domu. Nie mogłem sobie pozwolić, żeby wywierał zły wpływ na innych. Wszyscy pozostali trenują solidnie.(...) "Courtney and Bridger have already got back to England. Courtney had it scheduled before and Bridger was not training - not attending the exercises. Mornings he claimed he had no power after the evening jogging. So he had to go home. I couldn't let him to exert a bad influence on the others. The rest of riders is training very hard." -
Road Trip 1.5 Poznan To Bydgoszcz 11.05.2008

270 miles !? That's definitely not the shortest way From Wroclaw to Rybnik it's 170 km - about 90 miles. It's a normal road (as for Polish standards, of course ) through the Silesia region. It's an industrial area but not mountain. -

If we collect at least 8 people we could hire a bus. Not much quicker than by train (about 2 hours) but more reliable and cheaper. -

Assuming the match may start at 16.oo we have the following connections at the moment (PKP timetable might change slightly by that time): Pzn -> Bdg 12:05 - 14:31 (2 h 26 mins) Bdg -> Pzn 20:03 - 22:25 (2 h 22 mins) Not perfect but enough time to have a few beers before/after at least -

Not a bad location of this hotel. Within a walking distance to the Old Brewery Centre with two very good clubs, probably the best ones in Poznan, and not too far away from the Old Square. Anyway, the area I know even better than Bydg now so we'll rock! -

Gorzow are about to sign TG and PK for sure and maybe Holta as well but that's not that certain yet. TG confirmed this piece of news in media. -
Never stayed at any hotel in Poznan so my recommendations are based on what I see hanging around downtown only. I don't know that one you'll be staying at but I believe if it looks ok on the website it must be good

The best three hotels in the town centre and close to the railway main station are Sheraton, Mercure and Novotel. Google them to find more details... Of course there are many more hotels in Poznan but these 3 are probably the most impressive ones.

Road Trip 2 - Bydgoszcz To Zielona Góra
Mateusz replied to Rico's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
It usually takes 2 hours from Poznan to Bydgoszcz by car, sometimes even longer. So there's no point in taking a taxi while it's about 2 h 20 min by train. -
