  1. HOw is it going? Is the Qualifying Round 1 complete? Any results?
  2. The problem is that his polish club, Rybik will loose if he doesnt ride. And the fans who misbehaved belongs to Gruziadz, who is one of the toughest competitors to Rybnik. Rybnik is already today in a bad situation, risking to be degraded to liga II. But in the end I agree with you, if the polish federation doesnt take it serious and in one way or another investigate and punish Gruziadz, I think Antonio should stop riding in Poland.
  3. And I guess the Polish motorcycle federation aint doing much about it. The secretary general of the Swedish motorcycle Federation promised that he will bring it up to the next international meeting. I havent seen any racism towards Antonio in Sweden except for a fan who called him ni**er when I visited a bar for watching SWC a couple of years ago. But I am pretty sure we have the same problems as many other countries but in Sweden very few people show their racist opinion in public. I hope we dont have to see what happened to Antonio again, but I doubt. AJ was interviewed as well and was asked if he ever had notice any "nazi"-behaviour in Poland. He said he hasnt but he described the polish fans as much more aggressive than other fans, like in England & Sweden.
  4. Tonight at the Swedish Sport News a part of the programme was spent on what happend to Antonio Lindback during his races in the match between GTŻ Grudziądz - RKM Rybnik. According to Antonio a couple of fans (between 40-60) were doing the Heil Hitler salute, and throwing empy beer bottles at him. As far as I understood Antonio meant the attacks were directed towards him. It is pretty obvious that a HH-salute towards a black speedwayrider is based on racial issues. The chairman of Grudziadz was diagreeing with Antonio and said that he didnt see any salutes. He accused Antonio for provoking the fans by showing his finger, which Lindback dismissed. I know there is some right-winged fans amongst the polish footballsfans but is it common also in speedway in Poland? What about England? Does it ever happend that fans are showing any right-winged sympathies?
  5. Correct, Anders, but I dont know if they count in the same way as the do in the GP. But its great that the our best juniors, THJ, Billy and Simon, made it to the final. But interesting is yhat none of them made it to the World U21-final, the only one who did was Ludvig who didnt qualify for the Ind Swe final.

  7. Any updates about the team? I know the squad of GB and Sweden, but has no idea whom might ride for Russia, DK, Poland. Someone who knows?
  8. It seems like Sweden has delicate problem to make before the final. Today, Ricky and Simon had a bad night, will the swedish coach replace them with Kim N and Linus E, who actually qualified for the seminfinal in the junior World Championship. It looks good for the future of Swedish speedway

  10. Any liveupdates from the days meeting? I think its going to be hell of a meeting with plenty of good racing. I hope the Swedes make it to the final, but GB and Russia will be hard to beat, and none knows what the Czechs are able to do in Pardubice. But my tip is that Sweden wins, Russia second, GB as third and the Czech ends up as the last.
  11. Is there anyone who knows where I can get hold of a list with the fixtures for the English, Swedish and Polish leagues and all the individual races that takes place this year. It is just for my own curiosity
  12. I guess a better summary will come later. The greatest suprise today was Masarna win against Smederna. Adams & Emil were the men of the match when they beat Jagus & Davidsson in heat 14. Jason Crump was involved in a crash with Swiderski and H Jonasson and had to withdraw from the meeting. According to the news his wrist might got injured, and he also complained about his knee & head. The question is how bad it is, in the worst case he wont be able to take part in the GP in Gothenburg this weekend. The results: Smederna-Masarna 46-50 Smederna: Wieslaw Jagus 12, Robert Miskowiak 9, Krzysztof Kasprzak 8, Jonas Davidsson 8, Linus Eklöf 6, Rory Schlein 2, Krzysztof Buczkowski. Masarna: Leigh Adams 14, Emil Sajfutdinov 11, Kenneth Bjerre 10, Dave Watt 9, Billy Janniro 5, Simon Stead. 13. As far as I know, Davidsson, Max, Klingberg, Nermark got nominations. There are some other riders that might get one, for example Antonio (he will get one if he wants it), Peter Ljung, David Ruud, Thomas H Jonasson, Kim Jansson, Billy Forsberg.
  14. Antonio said once that the danish riders ride to kill, and even if he exaggerate a bit, he still has a point. The way som of the danish riders ride is a kind of nasty. I see pretty often how some of the other riders leave som space between the fence and themself just to ride fair against other riders. But some of the danish riders, especially Hans and Nicki has made it to a habit to close that space for others, just to make sure noone will pass them. Of course they have the right to do it, but is fair way of acting towards the rest. I am not the only one blaming Nicki. The referee did it to, he was excluding Nicki for causing the accident. And how often does it happen that fans are criticing their own riders for careless riding. I have heard it once before, when Hans got a black flag during a race when he rode like a maniac against Tony R in Avesta. But I usually defend Nicki, he has improved a lot. He was much worse a couple of years ago.
  15. Nicki is again involved in a serious crash, even Holsteds (Nickis team in Denmark) own fans are critising Nicki for how he was riding against Antonio. But as usual Nicki is defending himself and this time blaming Antonio for riding to reckless. Antonio did a mistake, he didn´t take into consideration that Nicki was on the track.
  16. It seems like Antonio is ok. According to the the swedish newspapers, Antonio has broken his nose, had a few stiches in his forehead and suffer from a concussion. But the coach of his team in Sweden, Vargarna, is saying that Antonio might come to Norrköping today to support his teammates in their meeting.
  17. Arnieg: I hope you dont mind but I copied you post and published it in MasarnaAvestas guestbook (probably the place where most of the speedwaydebates in Sweden are located www.masarnaavesta.nu/gastbok.cgi )
  18. www.speedway.nu and select "snitt 2007" in the left menu. Pick a team and you can see the average for the all the teammembers. The first column is the average the riders had when the season started, and the second column is the calculated match average.
  19. Ask Nicki if he thinks Ole is doing everything for his country. Nicki was pretty close to get a suspension because he accused Ole for always being rough against the danes comparing the other teams.
  20. Mellgren is not a bad tip. Today it was a article about him and his cooperation with Tony R. He has asked Tony to help and guide him and Tony gave him some good advices. As far as I understood the idea is that Tony and Mellgren should see eachother every second week from now on. Mellgren participated in Elit Vetlandas own championsship and made a excellent race and ended up as number 7, scoring 10 p (but most of the riders were other juniors), but it is impressing ´cause he has just been riding 500cc for a very short period. I think he not only has a great talent, he seems to be very careful about everything he does beside and on the track. So who knows what will happend 2013. Mellgren might be a part of GP when he turns 21.
  21. The squad for 2008 is now done, I am just interesting to see who you think are coming GP-riders. There are plenty of good juniors but as we all know, not everybody make it the whole way. I believe there are some swedish juniors who have the talent, för example Thomas H Jonasson, Simon Gustafsson, Billy Forsberg (the grandchild of the first swede to join a world final 1953) and Lindgren junior.
  22. What riders will still be in GP 2013, and what new ones will show up. Representing DK 1) Nicki stills rides, 35 yrs old 2) Hans 3) Kenneth Bjerre Swe 4) AJ 5) Lindgren 6) Davidsson 7) Billy Forsberg Poland 8) Hampel 9) KK Australia 10) Schlein 11) Holder Russia 12) Emil Sajfudinov GB 13) Bomber 14) Tai Woffinden Croatia 15) Pavlic At this time we will have 12 GP, two in Sweden, Poland, one in GB, DK, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Russia, Czech republic and one in Lativa. Am I missing anyone or would you like to se GPs somewhere else?
  23. If it follows this years schedule, event 1 will include the winner, number four and five from the SWC the year before, which are Poland, GB, Sweden. Event 2 will include team two, three and six, and that means Denmark, Australia, Russia. Event 1 in Poland or Sweden? Event 2 in GB (I guess GB is the closest the aussies get to Australia)?
