Good nights racing well done both teams. KK and Bates were excellent as was King in the last 2. All the Bees battled hard. Great to see Holder giving it a go on a track he normally holds back on. As for Andersen, think he had other things on his mind........ Like packing his van with last years stock at the end of the meeting. I kid you not -

We can't gate! How come Havvy moaned about it being slick for years yet they haven't got the setup right? Shocking performance. SCB get those leathers and jump on your BMX. -

We will be fine if young Kasper rides well as he's likely to have 2 extra rides. Adam will need to be a road block again too. -
Well done Bomber, 3rd in the GP. Huge confidence boost.

King's Lynn V Coventry Bees (sky) Wed 22nd June
Brandon replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm hoping for a good close meeting. It's so long since we last road I'm starting to loose interest and that's without all the usual squabbles, silly rules, poor guests, no guests, RR no RR, national league riders in the main body, FTR rules, future of the stadium....... -
Well done Danny, great ride in difficult conditions.

Wolves V Coventry Mon 6th June 2016
Brandon replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
PK ar reserve! What a joke! B Pederson will be at reserve for Poole soon too! The sports mad as a hatter! The season was over before it started with the setup/rules and how will they fix the over inflated averages next season? If Adam Roynan is riding will he be at reserve or does Woryna stay there? Bees to get a win with a last heat decider ..…… -

I thought Jason Doyle was using Gerhard too? -
Listening to his post meeting interview on CWR tonight, Horton certainly seems resinged to fail this year. He stated that top riders want to ride for us but simply can't fit it in with their continental commitments and that basically we're stuck with what we have. He went on to say he will be looking at a different approach, hinting at writing this year off with the purpose of building ready for next year? Furthermore he said the BSPA committee of promoters (himself included) have got the rules so wrong this year, they need/will be fixed for next year. Not sounding good for the 2016 season but a positive is he's talking about next year!

Sad news about Kasper, fingers crossed his wrist is not as bad as first reported. Any ideas what a standard lay off is with a broken wrist? Guess it depends on what wrist too? In the mean time it will be RR or do we look to replace him if it's a lengthy lay off.

I don't intend to reply to a Pirate, besides I'm off to Brandon.

Whilst everyone can have an opinion, those so called fans that constantly whinge and moan do my head in. #supporttheteam

With this new no8 position being introduced and it can be a foreigner. Could Kacsper Woryna be moved to 8 (that's what Ford was going to do with him) and we get another rider in the main team?

COVENTY Storm will open their season with home matches against the top two clubs from last year’s National League. The City Gearboxes Storm will be in action at Brandon on Easter Monday, March 28 (4pm start) when 2015 runners-up Eastbourne provide the opposition. And then defending champions Birmingham visit on Friday April 15 on a busy weekend which also includes Coventry’s first trip to the new National Speedway Stadium to face Belle Vue the following evening. Last year, a combination of circumstances meant the Storm did not race a home league fixture until mid-July – but this season’s fixture list provides much greater continuity of racing. The Storm are competing in a 12-team National League – with the top four advancing to the play-offs – and they will also face a Knockout Cup quarter-final against the winners of the Kent/Isle of Wight first-round tie. And Coventry stage one of the prestige events of the season, the National League Fours, at Brandon on Sunday August 14 which will feature eight clubs including the Storm. The land off the A444/Toll bar island already has a MX track and scrap yard, could this be the site? Can't believe there's no mention of today's update on the Bees website?

COVENTRY are delighted to confirm the return of City Gearboxes as title sponsors of their National League team for the coming season. City Gearboxes (Coventry) Ltd have backed the Storm since their inception in 2013, with owner Gary Drinkwater and wife Lorraine offering major support to the riders and the club. Gary began his involvement in speedway with sponsorship in the Midland Development League, where Coventry also field a team after senior matches at Brandon, and Lorraine is in charge of the stadium Track Shop. Gary had been in talks with club owner Mick Horton over the last few months and he was very honoured to be asked by Mick once again to have the team of his choosing, along with help from Team Manager Laurence Rogers. Gary said: “It’s great to have been able to build a team with some of the 2015 team members, and also to be using Coventry assets. “Being part of the STORM is like an extension to our family. Our priority, as it always has been, is to ensure that these youngsters have all the support that they need to be able to do what they love – SPEEDWAY! “We hope that our support, not just financial, helps them towards achieving their goals. “The lads are a great bunch, and Lorraine and I both look forward to an action-packed season ahead.” Gary and Lorraine also would like to thank all the fans that support TEAM STORM and we look forward to seeing you all again in March. The City Gearboxes Storm are likely to race their first match at Brandon on Easter Monday, March 28, and they will be on track along with the senior team at Press and Practice on Friday March 11. Great news for the Storm

Point is who else was avilable? We can all guess but if we don't know the budget of the club, riders willingness to ride Friday's, what other teams are willing to pay...............??? He's in the team just like the rest, support them and if it's not working hope the promotion follow last years stance and make a change.

We already have 2 from the list and KK?
-
So now the heat leader list or more importantly the rules are out who could we have signed instead of Kacper Woryna (or similar)? Don't want to start the "we're crap" debate again but hoping someone will point out some riders who would have fit and potentially been better.
