Terrible rule change, negates the benefits of new Brits being on a 2.00 and any real incentive of signing home nation riders. Not surprising but none the less stupid.

Completely agree and unless Plymouth can make a change in the next 48 hours 2 points will be lost on potential re-building (if the promotion chose that option). That's vital as you'd struggle to see Cluff improving enough to overhaul Alfie or Lasse in the averages. Trigger and Cluff at reserve doesn't exactly strike fear into opposing reserves.

Surely two points won’t be lost on rebuilding it’ll just be 2 points towards further riders we could sign.

Plymouth currently have 5.72 available to replace Cluff (if they want to). When he gets a new average they'll still have 5.72 available to replace Cluff.

The only difference it makes, would be I'd they dropped another team member (gives them an extra 2 points). But surely Cluff would be the one to go if they try to strengthen up?

Currently what average is NK on that he will convert to ? That’ll be the key figure.

Not to be pedantic but Trigger was actually 6th and to be honest, while he had a fall in his 3rd race. I'd actually say that's a pretty poor result given the company.

The lad Cooper Rushen looks a good prospect though, scored well last night and scored a bucket load at Belle Vue on his only NDL league match for Leicester. Looks a kid going places and only a matter of time before someone gives him a CL ride. Guessing he would be a 2 pointer as well. Would be a good move imo to replace Trigger (or Cluff) with this lad and free up some points in the meantime to strengthen further up the order.

🏁 Plymouth Speedway are thrilled to announce the signing of 22-year-old Czech sensation Daniel Klíma, who will make his debut for the Gladiators on Saturday 5th July at the Coliseum against Scunthorpe!

Arriving on an assessed 4.00 average, Daniel will join Mitchell Cluff at reserve, giving the team a strong boost 💪 as they continue their charge for a Championship Play-Off spot.

Daniel is no stranger to top-tier competition — with experience at Stal Gorzów and Grudziadz at U24 level, success with the Czech National Team, and a Wildcard appearance at this year’s Czech Grand Prix, he’s a rider with pedigree and passion.

🗣️ Promoter Mark Phillips:
“We have seen in recent weeks that we can be strong and competitive at home against any championship team, however we have been lacking some firepower on the road, especially on some of the bigger and faster tracks.  The option to bring in a very promising recruit with lots of European experience, a real desire to carve out a career in the UK and a fixture schedule that ideally suits joining us, it was an opportunity we couldn’t ignore.  The fact he comes in as a 4-point rider is a bonus and gives us possible scope to further tweak the 1-7 of the team should we feel the need.
