Fell off a cliff in the GP's this year due to riding too many carpet rugs that don't require throttle control. Hardly a coincidence that riders who are high up in the GP standings behind Zmarzlik all ride in Britain or in Lindgren's case has years of experience on rougher / tougher British tracks. I doubt you will see any top boys in the uk next season

Poland can keep the Friday to Sunday slot, Danish riders can still ride in their Home country on a Wednesday and then it'll just leave riders choosing between Britain and Sweden which some already do. I think they'll go for two leagues again though (7-7 Split) with Scunny and one other moving up to save the Premiership. PREM - Belle Vue, Ipswich, King's Lynn, Leicester, Scunthorpe, Sheffield + Glasgow or Poole CHAM - Berwick, Edinburgh, Oxford, Plymouth, Redcar, Workington + Glasgow or Poole

Poole won't move up if the Prem needs more teams, and wants Wednesdays. Fine, but if it does go 1 league, and no Weds it could be a problem for them. Don't think clubs will get away with being picky about race nights if we lose a few clubs this winter.

Would he run if there was only one league, and was out voted on race days. He might have compromise, to help speedway in the UK at some stage. I don't think clubs wanting to race on a night which brings in the best crowds is picky, just good business sense. If the rest of the league said Mon, Tue or Thurs only, don't think Ford would run next season. Would someone else take over Poole?

We already have a Dane and isn't a problem.

I very much doubt we would have too many top riders here anymore.

I agree but the point I'm putting across is that Promoters won't have a business to run unless a compromise is met if it's one big league after we lose a few clubs this winter. YeOldPitGate
Only way I can see things surviving is with five man teams of championship standard maybe 8-10 clubs in the new top league. All the top boys would have to depart as we can't afford them and ideally you would need riders who would be committed to being in Britain for 90% of the time needed. The rot set in during the late 80's and we have limped through to the current last knockings the question is even with five man teams will you find enough riders for UK at Championship standard. We can't carry on as we are and that decision looks like it will be forced onto promoters by events next year even those who want the current status quo to continue will have to accept it. You have the riders dictating the racing nights and thus end up with teams running on Mondays which is probably the least most attractive night of the week for your average punter. Going to be an interesting winter that's for sure.
TTT
Would Redcar move up considering they already put out teams mostly full of Premiership riders?
