Pretty much what we expected on bend 3/4. Douglas is poor this season so far, not helping, that was lost at reserve though.

Emil and Doyle scoring 4 points from two heats was something Leicester needed to capitalise on.

The result and winning margin was as most of us predicted. As  Lions fan, what frustrates me is that we prevented the Witches from a heat advantage in heats 13 & 15 (which I doubt Ipswich will experience again this season) but couldn’t capitalise on this elsewhere. Fair play to the Witches as they are proving that they do not have to rely on their top two hitting double figures to win matches. Whilst I’am not a believer that a team’s riding order influences the outcome of a result, I think that Dickson has to move Becker perhaps to No.4 to provide a better balance to pairings…….And so to the reserves, which is where the Lions appear to be at sixes and sevens. Kemp is unreliable but poor Sam Hagon is simply out of his depth at this level. I’m not judging Sam on this season alone. His confidence and Dickson’s patience can only be going in one direction. For those of you that have plenty of time, perhaps you could research how many points Sam has scored when four riders have finished a race?

I was thinking during the meeting about the only positive for Hagon is that he does tend to complete 4 laps so can pick up any scraps that are on offer. Other than that if he does make any kind of half decent start he's soon passed. "Rising Star" was just about okay immediately post Covid but the league is a lot stronger than that these days and even if these kids are sat next to their heroes in the pits barely scoring any points every match can't be good for their confidence or bank balance.

Well done boys good result

Leicester pushed us hard but yet again their reserves aren’t good enough

How they got rid of Dan T is a mystery

Still I hope you guys get in the play offs good side and good fans

Agree with this score if Witches number 5 isn't watching his average again like at Birmingham.

Masterful performance in 13 from Ippo's top two. All about the numbers very clever management.

What a team Louis and co have assembled.

Hagon look devoid of any confidence sadly. Leicester should bring in Joe Thompson. He’d score points around Leicester at least.

Gilkes incoming for Hagon if Leicester want any chance of competing when it comes to Rising Star

Joe T would be my choice if they were gonna make a change.

Well in the two cup matches against Birmingham he scored 1+1 in each match, beating his fellow co worker at Hagon Shocks! Jason Edwards. In his three league matches. Against Belle Vue He scored 4, but after a third in heat two. His other two races there were only three finishers. Against Kings Lynn he had four rides scoring 3+3, but he was gifted every point he scored. Boughen pulled up in heat 2, he retired in heat 4, he fell in heat 8. As we know he failed to score tonight. It's been a tough start to the season for Sam. Not being nasty, but I think he is out of his depth in this league. He's not the only one. Hume, Killeen, Mulford. Possible Boughen. They have all struggled to score points.

I did suggest Gilkes, but he didn't exactly set the world on fire yesterday at Oxford. In all reality the top league should not be having rising stars. Thompson, Brennan are the two successes. To a lesser extent Flint, but how long have him and Jenkins been rising stars? If your good enough that should be the only criteria needed.

Don’t forget Anders Rowe was a RS. Struggled for a long time then came to Lynn got his mojo back, and now looks very comfortable at no.2 for Sheffield

In a sport that is seriously short on riders they should be running a "Rising Journeyman" scheme not a Rising Star scheme... cream will always rise to the top.

Agree, but at least they put a full report up sharpish which is more than some do. A lot actually.

For all of the uptick in social media activity by clubs, which is to be applauded, it seems to have come at the expense of website updates for many.

What a fantastic ride from Dan Thompson in heat 12. Passed by Douglas and lost ground but then battled back superbly to re-pass for a 5-1 that killed the meeting off. Superb.

The race in question. Once Douglas got past you’d probably think that was that. Great effort.

Just shows the ridiculous strength Ipswich have got. They have a reserve coming from the back and passing a 2nd/3rd heatleader on his own track. They may have conceded a 5-1 in 13 (conveniently?) but you have to be a fair few points up on them to beat them by that stage because they look strong in 14 as well as the obvious in 13 and 15. Brennan in 14 with Jenkins (or Dan Thompson if they want to make a switch) means they’ll be big favourites for heat advantages in the final three heats.
