Roger Jacobs
Great to see King have a go at team riding last night, when he left room for Thompson to get past on the outside - in an individual event 😁 Edited 8 hours ago by Roger Jacobs
Gavan
13 minutes ago, RoundTheBoards said: Think your maths is a bit wrong. Going by Speedway Updates (Ignoring heat 15) the Ippo top-scorers should have been: King 10+1, Brennan 10, Ellis 8+2, and a toss of a coin between Doyle 8+1 and Sayfutdinov 8+1. Brum should have been: Jepsen Jensen 9, Jeppesen 5+1, Rew 5, Vuolas 2+1 So it looks like the pay rates couldn't have been too good as Doyle, Sayfutdinov, Jesper Jensen, Jeppesen and Rew all ducked it. Fair play to Thompson, Musielak, Hume and Edwards for taking part. I'd say it reflects worse on Doyle and Sayfutdinov for ducking out as it's their home club. Thompson had 7 plus 2 so 3 riders all on 9 As mentioned Doyle had had a crash and offered to do heat 15….. Emil had bike issues ….. so no they hadn’t qualified automatically…. Yet another poster trying to make something out of nothing or having an inability to read

I believed this when I read it “there will be a ‘Champion of the Evening’ second half featuring the top scorers from both teams.” Also Jason was top scorer for the witches with or without bonus points. And the award for dumbest post goes to???
Gavan
Just for the record Doyle and Emil were going to do heat 15….. the plan was that the 5th and 6th placed scorers were to do heat 15 if the meeting and bonus points were secured and that was Doyle and Emil …. Emil declined as he was having bike issues hence Tom did heat 15 and the match races It’s not hard to work out unless you are from Manchester

Plain English but a lack of understanding of the qualifying criteria. Programmed rides only, Heat 15 did not count.
Colinspeedway
Just now, JamesB said: No he didn’t. Programmed rides only. Fair enough I hadn't realised heat 15 didn't count so I stand corrected on that. But Doyle was still on paid 9 same as Thompson. I would have liked to see the best riders from both teams in those extra heats.

Programmed rides only (i.e. four rides each), including bonus points. Not difficult. As explained by people who made the effort to find out, Doyle and Sayfutdinov were chosen for Heat 15. I don't know how Thompson gained the final place in the Sanders event, having been tied on Paid 9 with those two, but Sayfutdinov even turned down Heat 15, and maybe Doyle decided he was happy with just one more ride after his earlier fall.

Seems to find him almost every year. Ipswich lose Emil or Jason, it could end their season quick sharp. Apart from Oxford & Birmingham, absolutely nobody else can be written off for the title just yet. Let's not forget, we had this same exact arrogance from Ipswich last season, how did that go?? I agree, I've always said that the only obstacles to overcome are injuries as well as hoping Torun don't withdraw Emil's starting permission. It’s not difficult to provide that information in the press release advertising the event. It just reads “top scores from both teams” so that’s what you expect. It’s all well and good you now informing us of the caveats (plural) for the event. I’m still yet to see this in writing from the club themselves so will stick with their last comment - top scores from both teams. They should have said riders from both teams will be represented instead of top scorers. Speedway once again over promise and under deliver. I’m in agreement with you about Dan and also agree that both Jason & Emil turned it down. You’ll probably need a tin hat with you airing opinions like that one here as the trolls will descend with their insults and obnoxious behaviour. Bash
Ipswich did put out their four top scorers as Thompson was tied fourth on 9 points with Jason & Emil. Chris Adams said that both Rew & Jeppesen were suffering from illness, so that explains why they didn't take part. The only one is why Jepsen Jensen didn't take part. It was known it was the 4 top scorers from programmed rides otherwise a reserve could have 7 rides They didn’t ride for good reason … or do you think Doyle should have considering he had a big off earlier and was sore You say things purely to incite you are either a kid or a troll ….. it’s been explained many times how it works but you keep biting back Do us a favour and stop infiltrating Ipswich threads

You obviously don't recognise yourself as a troll, despite your best efforts! It was a free event for fans, and the top four Ipswich scorers took part, even if the top four Brummies didn't. I like to think that the Brum Promotion sees everything upside down, so that's why those four turned out 😃 Perhaps you should cheer up and enjoy a bit of fun instead of sticking your snout in somewhere that you clearly don't care about.
