I was suprised also but Mcdiarmid was looking very fast towards the end of the meeting. Mcdiarmid had paid 9 before heat 15 and Anders Rowe had 11 (would have been 10 if Pickering hadn't packed up) so wasn't a lot between them anyway. Did Rowe fancy heat 15? Schroeck has certainly made a lot worse blunders.

Mcdiarmid is an exciting rider to watch at Oxford. Doesn't always gate but he certainly will put in the effort if at the back.

Nobody was beating Pickering so wouldn't have made a lot of difference

Pit access is from 6 until 6.30pm Parking is free in the street nearby the stadium or £2 unipart pay online when you buy your ticket although not sure if they ever check

Made a visit to Plymouth couple of weeks ago, I really like the setup down there but the meeting was drawn out with various issues.

Yes I agree disappointing to single out reserves, Rowe more disappointing to me, and Mitch riding at 5 out of position. Was a big risk but Riss on form around Oxford was a steal on that average. Was he not supposed to be back soon?

As someone who regularly attends Oxford but no allegiance (my past supported clubs closed) the track has been disappointing this season and will impact my decision in whether I will attend future meetings. I won't stop going, but may attend less as it's a fair way to go to watch 4 riders going around in dust with no racing.

Coming back from injury, tailed off in his last one, match already lost- not worth the risk.

Yes a previous poster has corrected me, I was getting confused as I saw the water truck after heat 4 👍

My bad, certainly looked quite wet up to then (Obviously when the water truck came out after heat 4 they didn't actual drop any water)

After they stopped watering the track after heat 8 the racing was very good

Yes the atmosphere did feel a bit flat where I was, although some sections looked to be having fun!

Good to see a home win to keep the home fans happy. Nki still got it! Klindt doesn't seem interested with the track. Batchelor is Batchelor- doing about as expected.
