TheWellBehavedWorrall
That was a bizarre decision, but I’m not complaining. Sedgmen had just won heat thirteen, so I could understand if Castagna’s spot in the final heat was under threat, but to overlook Polis, dare I say it, cost the meeting. He battled for and earned every single point. What a performance from Thompson and Howarth. Outstanding. Boughen too and again, Flint. The two reserves had a nightmare, but they’ll learn from evenings like this. This is the benefit of having a strong top five; the youngsters are protected and have time, opportunity and a platform to develop with experience. Harris must have had bike issues. There’s no other explanation for how slow, off the pace and underwhelming he was. Flint's ride in ht14 was brilliant. He was much faster than i've seen him round Armadale before. Harris's performance was as unusual as Sedgmen's - one to forget for both of them.

We can forgive him one bad meeting as he has been consistently very good second time around. But winning without the usual double figure score from Bomber and without the reserves chipping in made the result closer than it could have been. You could counter that with the under par performance from Sedgmen and Thomson, but another away win in the bag will do nicely

Firstly Glasgow showed their strength in depth in top 5 when Bomber had an off night by his high standards. They still managed to win. Dan T was outstanding. A wise choice by Cammy to take gates in heat 15. ( did I just write that?) But the Edinburgh manager's selection in heat 15 beggars belief. We aren't going to do anything in the BSN series so why not give Victor and Oscar heat 15. See how they coped in that situation. An in form reserve gets only 5 rides and the MOTM only his 4 rides. Absolutely shocking. Makes me wonder if certain riders have been guaranteed heat 15 this season.

No bonus tonight when a team manager doesn't select the best riders on the night. Second in a two horse race.

spt82
I think the decision to put Sedgmen in 15 can just about be justified by the fact he won heat 13 on what looked to be a different bike from his first 3, so the hope was he would pop out the start the same again. Going with Paco however was a terrible decision, assuming Polis didn't turn it down, while his time in heat 14 wasn't quick he is a good gater, all that being said I don't think anyone was beating Dan Thompson tonight it was a faultless display. Palovaara as others have said was underused should have been nailed on to replace Thomson in heat 9.
eide67
Good match tonight on a well-prepared track. Several good races, the best being the 3-man tussle in Heat 14 with Leon Flint grabbing a very important 2nd on the line. Leon had done something similar in heat 10 after a great race with Jonatan Grahn and these two last bend overtakes went a long way to bringing the Tigers victory. A fine home debut by Oskar Polis and personally I would have gone for an Oskar Victor pairing in Heat 15, but I've a feeling it wouldn't have changed the result. Still quite optimistic for the season ahead.
Gavan
Ipswich fan here To go without either of your 2 top scorers in heat 15 is poor management from Edinburgh Glasgow had their top 2 in and didn’t put Harris. The result may have been the same but surely you have to go with your form riders

No good the team manager criticising riders for being inconsistent when a couple of his own tactical decisions were at variance with what was obvious to most watching.

Probably right choice in going with sedgy off gate 2 in heat 15 even though he was poor all night he’d just won heat 13 off that gate. Mistake was not going with Oskar/Victor off gate 4. Alex is right in what he’s saying there is no consistency from us. Sedgy and kye being prime examples of that last night, but think Alex himself realises the error he made in heat 15 last night.
