It's not the point though is it.I don't think anyone is happy at any match being called off so early. At least have a look at the forecast mid morning and then make a decision. At least you will have a more accurate idea.
szkocjasid
I think it's strange calling it off so early as all the riders would be in the country anyway, so it's not like they're saving on air fares by calling it off a day ahead. It’s more due to it being a tv meeting that this has been called off early as probably around £10,000 has been saved than if they had waited until the morning as OB trucks were due to arrive this evening then overnight security plus if cancel on day have to pay 25 freelance staff plus Abi daily fee so will always be the same for tv meetings as contractually they still have to return 1

All the riders would be in the country? I doubt that when a hand full of them rode in Poland today.

I was saying as Birmingham were due to race twice tomorrow, calling off the evening meeting wouldn't save on air fares like it would in normal circumstances.

I would have assumed the latter.
Daniel Smith
Not going to happen I know, but could it be possible to call off a TV meeting, have all riders secretly available. If the weather's half decent, call it back on at lunch time for a 7pm start? TNT wouldn't have time to set up = more through the gate for a bank holiday meeting. 🤔 It's the type of sneaky s#!t I'd try & pull off. GiveusaB Posted yesterday at 06:27 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:27 AM Not that it matters? But the forecast has changed, with light showers possibly arriving around 8pm? Leicester meeting will definitely go ahead, shame TNT couldn't cover this meeting?
stevebrum
Yes it rained, yes it stopped. Would have done the track good I reckon. Drove past the stadium just before 8pm and it wasn’t raining.

szkocjasid
Was probably the worst time to have a postponed meeting, with an away win in the morning, would that have increased the attendance in the evening? Fans who were fed up of losing, deciding to give it another go?
ovalfan
Rearranged date will be a normal working Monday. Biggest crowds are Bank Hols and they need people through the gates. Most i know dont have access to TNT sports and so they attend. Strange choice to call it off so early and sounds like it could have gone ahead.
