  1. We're gonna do well to finish 4th 😬 Amazing how thing's have changed in just a couple of years for GB. The next couple of years are looking even worse for us as a group.
  2. That's it for King's Lynn's Play-Off chances. Ipswich collecting the agg point seals the spot.
  3. It's more than that. The British Final is a clear indication that the "fast tracking" of Rising Stars isn't delivering in the Premiership. Rushen showed he could be the next to come through after Bewley & Lambert, but what else is there?? All those years of riders given Rising Star (or past equivalents) positions to have only Bewley & Lambert cut it is nothing short of failure. Could be argued that giving youngsters a job in the top league with minimal effort stop the hunger and drive to be the best they can. These kids should be hitting heatleader positions in the Championship on the regular before getting reserve spot in the Premiership. It's the only & best way to sort the wheat from the chaff.
  4. So, serious question time. Do you think that meeting sold it to ITV or another broadcaster to take on the sport in 2027+?? Not for me, the meeting itself was just okay (Rushen the standout), it's a shame the gulf in the line-up was so far apart. Hopefully, ITV (or another free to air) decide on broadcasting the Premiership Play-Offs, it may give a better standard of racing for the sport to sell itself.
  5. Seems you've missed the point. It's an opportunity to sell the sport to ITV or any other broadcaster. So far, it's not going well is. Being on TV is not just about tonight, the future of British Speedway is dependant on selling our sport.
  6. Speedway fans are weird. So we're at a point now where clubs can't sign rider's because others can't afford it?? Absolutely bonkers mentality. It's up to everyone else to be better, not lowering standards to suit the least well off. Even if the team averages were 25 or 55, in the main, if a club has the most expenditure available, they'll have the best team. It's the way in every single motorsport. It's very very simple, if you want a competitive league, bug all the other promoters to raise their standards
  7. Well, no actually 😂 He was safe to ride for 23hrs;45mins 😛
  8. Lawson's suspension must have been from & including Thursday. If Lawson had the suspension starting from the Friday it would mean Ipswich's use of R/R would be illegal. If R/R or guests are used, suspension dates are issued from that "missed" meeting.
  9. Would be a strange thing for him to do when he's starting to move in reasonable circles as a DJ. To be fair to him (if you like that music) his tracks are half decent.
  10. Why worry about broadcast times for a highlights show? The 90s are well & truly over, everything will be available to stream regardless of broadcaster.
  11. Is this a radical enough idea to get past Poland's +1 league restrictions? SVEMO, DMU, ACU agree to become a joint league venture. Start the season as 'Regional Divisions' so as usual league racing, home & away x1, then the top 2 from each division go on to the 'Continental Championship'.
  12. Just an idea 1 big league spit in to North & South divisions. Home & away x1. Top 4 from each move on to Play-Offs, Home & away x1. Whomever finish top wins the league. Remaining teams below both top 4s, home & away x1 compete for the Caven Shield. Guarantee of around 12-13 Home fixtures pending number of teams. Plus KO Cup, Pairs & British Final (scrap the qualifiers). All averages in the 1st season converted to current Premiership. Team building to 40.00. Introduce a grading system for year 1 also. Grade A: SGP, Ekstraliga ave 7.00+, Elitserien, Danish League & Premiership 8.00+. Grade B: Ekstraliga 6.99-4.00, Elitserien, Danish League & Premiership 7.99-6.00. Grade C: Everyone else. If a team signs 1 Grade A they can have 2 Grade Bs. Sign 2 Grade As, it's only 1 Grade B. Sign no Grade As, can have up to 4 Grade Bs.
  13. There are not enough riders around that'll accept a 'Semi-Professional' league. I wouldn't worry to much as that option definitely won't be on the table.
  14. One thing (maybe the only thing) the current Premiership has in it's favour is travel. It's very 'Middle England'. There's no travelling to Glasgow - Edinburgh all the way down to Poole - Plymouth. Do remember Buster mentioning this as having a substantial savings on costs to the club as to whether it's best being a Premiership or Championship team.
  15. I think it an absolutely simple issue to fix to which I've said for years. It can't be eradicated totally but all guests should come in from the lower league & have a lower converted average than the official No7. 1 rider missing, it's only R/R. 2 riders missing, it's R/R + guest at No7 & everyone else in the team moves up a position. 3 riders missing, meeting postponed. It definitely should not be accepted that half the team can be guests. _______________________ Tonight, another good result for the Stars, but yet again for King's Lynn fans the Play-Offs carrot is dangling, it's the hope that kills you again isn't it?? Where's that next flop result coming.
  16. It takes all types to make every sport exciting. In Speedway you need the gating tart, the curb crawler, the chaser & the kamikaze. The mixture of mentality is what gives the sport (any sport) the excitement. Without the Pedersen types, the sport is & has been a bland sport for a while. The fact many are talking about Woryna, means he's doing something right, for his profile & the sport overall.
  17. Not seen a single GP for 2 years. Is this Kubera the 'Real Deal'? Willing to put his & others lives at risk just to win? Are we talking peak Nicki Pedersen mentality? Do you think he's willing to take his own countryman & national hero Zmarzlik for a safety barrier inspection? If it's a yes to all those, I may sign up & have a new hero. Speedway globally desperately needs characters rather than the soft touch of recent years. I'm all for 'risk & reward' over safe & bland every day of the week.
  18. Finally, some questioning of the management at King's Lynn in the media 🙏🏻 Yes, it's a very gentle poke, hopefully some eyes can be opened https://www.lynnnews.co.uk/sport/foxes-loss-will-hurt-more-than-most-for-stars-fans-9476157/
  19. Looking at the 'Users Online', I'm wondering if they're Bots. Some of the threads being read are going back a decade. Who reads threads going that far back?? 2+2 does suggest the numbers ain't genuine.
  20. Sack them all, getting humped by Nohopeton is beyond embarrassing.
  21. Absolutely, hence why I am adamant that the pinnacle of the sport should be a closed shop. All other world class forms of motorsport don't have qualifiers. All drivers/riders are hand picked as the best available. The best way for the SGP/FIM selectors to do that is by League racing from the top 4 divisions over a 3 season period.
  22. Yes, the system is flawed, but, why can't we criticise the rider's?? Tungate is, always has been and always will be sh!t.
  23. Happens every year an absolute shocker of a rider makes it through 🤣 It's the reason I'll repeat again. The Speedway Grand Prix Series should be a closed shop. The best rider's in the world should be hand picked. The top 12 automatically qualify & the best 4 rider's with the highest amalgamation of averages from at least 2 leagues from:- •Ekstraliga •Elitserien •Speedway Ligaen •Premiership
  24. Hence why I said "many fans" as it's not directed solely at you. We want and need change to move this sport on and genuine ideas CAN help. As much as they deny it, promoters, managers and riders do read this forum. Ideally, we should be paying £15 admission. Ideally we should have Zmarzlik, Laguta and especially Lambert over here full time. Ideally we should be have major brands as sponsors. We are where we are because British Speedway has been stuck in this mentality that the fans don't matter. A constant dumbing down but increasing prices on us. Because of such measures, even the hardest of hardcore fans have been picking and choosing meetings. Many have given up all together. At fault for all that has been and always will be the clubs owners/promoters. It's never ever the fans fault if a club fails. Seeing Coleman's message, so sadly, makes me laugh. Why, you say?? If this guy keeps "running his mouth" to improve the sport, the other promoters will run him out of town within 4 years. Shamefully, Sandhu, Frost, J.Chapman and to a point M.Ford all ran out of the sport for trying to be 'progressive', many before them and since have also come and gone. Very loudly, it needs to be said to a number of this current promotions:- "You're fukkin s#!t at your job."
