  • SuperStarsFan91 changed the title to King’s Lynn vs Ipswich - Mon 16th June - Premiership r1

Think this will be a repeat of the Cup meeting. Narrow home win due to the reserve situation at both clubs. Need more from Ellis this time though. Lynn is one his better away tracks but he was really poor a few weeks ago. If he can score his usual steady points around here then who knows. The bonus point should be a formality though with Ipswich defending a 16 point lead.

With Ben Cook making a comeback in Poland, there should be no need for Kildemand to guest right?

I agree, although by his recent comments can’t see him returning to this country anytime soon.

If Doyle doesn’t ride will there be any consequences there?

I can see Cook getting a 28-day ban for withholding services. However, by the same logic if Doyle doesn’t ride on Monday the same should apply…

Don't think we'll see Ben Cook as he is already expecting a 28 day ban.

Be interesting to see if Doyle turn up.

Either way, it's gonna be another hard meeting that we need to win to keep play off hopes alive - will be a handful of points either way, hopefully we can sneak it again....

Hopefully some common sense will apply in both the cases of both Doyle and Cook. Both have suffered significant injuries. In Cook’s case, his wrist was/is a mess and everyone knows Lynn’s track is grippy and you’d need more strength there than a flat, slick Polish track. Equally Doyle has just come back from a nasty injury and rode a double header in the SGP.

Don't think you can accuse either of taking the pee out of UK speedway. In either case they can simply get a Dr’s note to say they have suffered a reaction to their injuries and avoid a ban.

In case anyone missed Chris’ post on the King’s Lynn 2025 thread, we interviewed Ben Cook where he talked about his injury and his possible return. Any delay to the UK is because of a realism of his situation.

When compared to Musielak, the difference was he gave every indication to the club he was going to return then didn’t.

The rules are there for a reason, if riders are allowed to miss matches in GB while riding in Poland without picking up a ban, they'll all start doing it.

In this instance Cook may prefer a 28 day ban, allows Lynn a guest, while he can still ride in Poland while he's getting back to 100% fitness, in 28 days he may fancy a return!

Not really a punishment for club or rider!

After listening to the podcast it seems to me like he’s not going to ride in the UK again this year… as much as he says he wants to 🤷🏻‍♂️ but we’ll see

Doyle won’t be a threat tomorrow night for Kings Lynn as either his bike is way way off the pace or he has yet again come back too soon. I think the latter personally !

Even if Doyle isn’t quite his usual self he’ll still score 7-8+ 🤷🏻‍♂️ I honestly can’t see us (Stars) scoring any more than 40 on Monday night
