TracksideView
If its slick then Redcar has every chance of winning, if there's material then i think it can swing in Glasgows favour.

With 6 of the 9 teams riding Friday night not that many options. Plus they don't always make themselves available. I know Lewis Kerr was asked and not available. Ever tried to find guests for a Friday night when Team GB have an event ? I know the answer so you needn't bother .

It's not as if they are struggling for fixture dates is it with all the gaps in the fixture list these days especially in the summer months! Did Redcar have something like 1 home fixture in 7 weeks albeit 1 of those was due to the Workington issue? GB speedway needs to work smarter! U24 international or something similar making numerous young riders from several nations such as Milford unavailable. My point is GB speedway would have been aware but didn't alter the fixture list to suit.

Yes, that’s the reason Mulford is missing, but it’s not a teamGB event, and don’t see what relevance that meeting has with getting relevant guests for Mulford or Riss as most of the riders in it don’t even ride in this country. R/R for Riss and a reserve replacing Mulford. Yeah Worky wouldn't have minded this scenario last Saturday.

gmarsbar2
Is there a new rule that if you are 6 down and used your tactical sub you can pick your own gates? Because the Redcar pair went of the wrong gates in heat 10. What was the ref thinking? Why did Glasgow not object?
boz
Congrats to Glasgow tonight, won the meeting in the first half really. I just love watching Bomber, made the gate a few too many times tonight! Nagels was excellent, and Flint had a couple of cracking rides. Bit flat from the Bears though - even in the crowd before the meeting you had the feeling everyone expected a defeat. Everyone was a bit up and down really - Edwards improved as the meeting went on. Interesting to see Wright out practicing after the second half. Feels like we can't be dropping any more points if we want the playoffs. Robinh88
I thought it was a really good meeting. Track looked good as soon as I saw it and produced then some really good racing. Interesting comment from the commentator Nagel being a potential GP rider in 5 years. Glasgow just started like a house on fire and didn't stop. Edited Friday at 09:25 PM by Robinh88
