Mulford averaged 4.37 for Redcar. So doubled equates to 8.74 🤷‍♂️

This is why it would be mightily helpful if team building average green sheets were generated.

Keeping Mulford as the example finished 2024 on 4.38 signed for 2025 on 4.27 (2.5% brit reduction) so assuming same again has happened this winter (although on that basis i make him 8.5ish)

Yes they must’ve taken Mulford’s British reduction off and then doubled it. But I don’t remember that happening previously.

4.37 - 2.5% = 4.26 ( his 2026 Championship starting average ), which when doubled is 8.52.

Jake last appeared for Middlesbrough in the NDL in 2024, with an average of 8.67. This average of 8.67 is higher than his 2026 Championship average, when doubled. So because the 8.67 is the higher of the 2, Jake's NDL average is the one he last had in 2024. Hope that clears that one up.

Strange how all but vinnie have lower averages in the Ndt than Ndl I know why Luke's is but does seem odd

If a rider in the championship has missed a season or more in the NDL, but has had a NDL average within the last 5 seasons, then they go back into the NDL on their last NDL average, UNLESS when their current Championship average is doubled and it’s higher than that last NDL average, within the last 5 seasons, then that rider will return to the NDL on the higher of the 2 averages.

Jake Mulford’s current championship average when doubled is lower than his last NDL average in 2024, hence why Jake is on an 8.67 average in the NDL in 2026.

I can’t make it any more clearer than that!

Speedway racing must innovate to stay relevant in a rapidly changing sports landscape. Traditional tracks and formats are exciting, but can they compete with mainstream motorsports' digital presence? Could embracing virtual reality and eSports be the key to attracting a new generation of fans and ensuring the sport's survival?

Sam Woods replace Kenzie Cossey and Jack Kingston take time out of the sport .

Appalling move from King's Lynn.

Kingston has dropped out of the team, which is a diappointment.

But because they are worried R/R or guests won't score as many points as Kingston, they're kicking 21-year-old Cossey out of the team to replace him with a 33-year-old  reserve?

Manager Jason Pipe said "With our current situation with the team and not knowing how the guests will go, I’ve had to do one change to the team to try and get some more points from certain heats.  Kenzie is at the start of his speedway career and a rider I believe will come good. We were hoping to be able to carry Kenzie in the team and let him develop with no pressure, but on this occasion I’ve had to use my head and go with that, rather than with my heart."

Or in other words....   Sod development, this is about win at all costs!

I don't particularly agree with it either but I suspect its to improve the chances of home wins and keeping the crowds viable. There's certainly no chance of winning the league.

As has been said the limit is too high which doesn't help those who need time to develop.
