Northamptoningham basically fielded a Championship level team tonight and despite almost staging a bit of a mid meeting comeback probably would have failed to beat Scunthorpe on tonight's evidence.

Just making the numbers up for the league to run

Much like Birmingham, for the last couple of years, they're a rider short, everybody is riding a place above where they should be... there's no way on this earth that Nicolai Klindt is a PL number 5!

Massive blow if that’s the case. He is currently riding at No.2 but I don’t think it’s unrealistic for him to be second in the team averages before too much longer. It’s always difficult to get cover for riders on the up having an average below their current form, so hope he won’t miss too many meetings.
Early days I know but I’m starting to have second thoughts about Gilkes. Love watching him, a real trier/racer, but is his injury record down to bad luck? Continued injuries will bring is technique/ bike control into question.

On form, this season, DT is 2nd in the averages on 6.44 (not including tonight) officially he's 4th ahead of Morris and Kemp. He may not even have broken his collarbone, apparently he was saying he thought he had but the medics were saying they didn't think he had... Mr Dickson said he should get it x-rayed.

I thought Gilkes wasn't too bad this evening, he didn't get the points but was on the pace and in the thick of the action, not bad after nearly a year out.

I don't trust much to luck, good or bad, if riders keep getting injured it's for a reason, much like riders whose machinery keeps letting them down.
