  1. Very little housing in the immediate area and mostly industrial. As stated, a massive Viridor site on the doorstep so the Council won't care what goes there as long as there palm is greased. Certainly unlike other locations if the Go-Kart company owns the freehold there is next to zero chance anybody would want to put housing there with a waste refuse site next door. Would only be a company looking to put more industrial or logistics sites. It could be a simple set up like Workington and have a chance - tram line 5 min walk away. So has transport access
  2. Viridor's site on Beddington Lane comes under LB of Sutton. The so called Green borough seems to be sponsored by Viridor + Suez. In terms of Croydon Council they will sell a kidney if they can make a profit. Especially as the Government are stepping in due to continued financial mis-management.
  3. I was thinking of this location..Sutton Council has sold its soul to Viridor Wasteplant that is nigh on top of the go-kart track. Very little housing in the immediate area. Plenty of waste land but Sutton Council is discussing other waste refuse sites with Viridor although they will claim theat is not the case. Problem will be Viridor / Suez have deep pockets + Council has a history of accepting donations for Councillors favourite charities.
  4. Barker signing is just like the Brummies have been for last two years "a token gesture" Feel sorry for the fans - the team looks a competitive Championship team.
  5. Foo Fighters took 80 mins to get into Stratford - Sam Fender was the same supposedly , we walked to Bow Road. Organisation is absolutely gash ...
  6. If you have ever been to London Stadium for an event or gig , you would know that this brings it own troubles. Over an 80 mins to get to the station from the stadium. Quicker to walk through to Bow Road or Bromley by Bow stations , which in turn bring there own adventures.
  7. With further teams demise in the Winter there is every likelyhood of fewer teams having a SGP rider.
  8. Don't blame the rider , blame the game ... Poland will pay for his treatment and rehab, pays riders thousands more than they earn in the UK + the tracks are generally slicker than a strippers bikini line. Plus - no travel time = more time for rehab + physio.
  9. Imagine NSS will be used again next season for a SGP as long as the costs of hosting don't go up significantly. Rather than the 2x SGP could well imagine the FIM could look at SGP2 / SGP3 on the Fri. WBD Sports are not going to consider Stadium venues in London due to cost. Speedway Star mentioned that it could be the last SGP at Warsaw this season due to cost. WBD will look to maximise opportunity at speedway stadiums rather than new venues. The audience both at the venue and on TV doesn't warrant it.
  10. In their situation they aren't going to be spending additional funds on track preparation. Imagine much is the same with not bringing in a MJJ replacement. Feel sorry for the Brummies fans and Midlands area as like the South, the area has been stripped of any speedway. Read in Speedway Star only 15 tracks in the UK.
  11. Would be more about whether WBD Sports would offer him a Wild Card spot - only three this year. The winner of the SEC and Top 4 from the SGP Challenge. Plus the top 7 in the Standings !! Doyle being 30 points off the top 7 cant see it happening. Shame because he has been plagued with injuries over the last couple of seasons but perhaps he will be able to keep earning top zloty in Poland and whether he chooses to continue to ride in the what will be a different UK league.
  12. Tough night for the Tigers but the Lions were excellent with only Joe Thompson missing out. Tigers nobody could get the set up right or get out of the starts. Pickering had a go without getting any fresh air. Kerr and Rowe struggled. Guest Tom Brennan was always going to be up against it replicating Holder's form but apart from 2 race wins lacked pace. Lions fully deserved the victory. Fricke a class f his own last night - Fairplay 18pt MAXIMUM
  13. There is no food near by ... Either eat in Manchester prior to the event or at the Stadium ,however there is a tendency of large queues and on occasion food running out.
  14. Fair play to the Brummies , not sure Lemo could believe that result. Conditions not great but both sides had to ride the track. Great effort by Zagar - welcome to the party.
  15. 17 wins off Gate 1 out of 23 !!! Has any other SGP had a more dominant gate ????? The Prague Procession BUT to be expected.
  16. Get well soon Doyley - Hopefully a speedy recovery.
  17. WOW !!! What a final !!! Lambert, Wright, Bewley and Bomber Harris take a bow - that was some Final !!! šŸ¤˜šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ¤˜
  18. Struck out on all bets last night. Kurtz under 12 NKI over 7 Lawson vs Lidsey went for Lawson Bet365 will be happy. We go again Thurs.
  19. Speedy recovery Tai ... looks a nasty one. Get well soon Champ.
  20. Ipswich by 12+ Middle order of the Aces didn't perform at the NSS on Mon. The Witches reserve pairing of Thompson and Jenkins should easily outscore Zischke + Mulford. It may take Doyle a couple of meetings to get back up to speed after injury and although Kurtz rides Foxhall well , you expect the Witches to win this easily.
  21. Bomber Harris at reserve , is like taking a B52 to a duck shoot !! šŸ’„šŸ’„ 17+1 PAID MAX - Fair play. Be interesting to see how the Stars do against a team with two strong heat leaders. At least the season has started now !!
  22. Hopefully just early season troubles for the Brummies as the riders get used to Perry Barr. Get stronger as the season goes on. Did not anticipate much from Birmingham but they need to be competitive paying all those air miles.
  23. So the season begins and we can delve into the Bet365 app for speedway bets again. Wiill have a look at Bewley under 11 and Doyle over 8 tonight. Rider matchups will take Brennan to outscore Lidsey 11/8 and Kildemand +2 vs Klindt 6/5.
