  1. Guess your related. Every one entitled to an opinion and I could say more but it would be wasted. He is not as good as he thinks he is, knocks his Polish opponents in league meetings when interviewed and shows little respect for his competitors. Let’s see just how good he is in a real competition.
  2. Lowest common denominator in pole position. God help British speedway. Feast and famine with this guy. No I cannot stand him after all he has done in the past and he is lucky but has little in the way of decent opposition to test him and those who need to fight the way to Cardiff will come good in later years. If he wins let’s hope he can race this time to see just how good he thinks he is on the international stage against real class riders.
  3. Have I missed something but has any winner acknowledged the effort/ racing of the second placed rider?
  4. Use NDL for those who have dropped out and the NDL guys only have to complete three laps whereas the rest do four.
  5. Is he the last rider left standing?

    UK Speedway in Turmoil?

Probably needs a total revamp. The bull...te fours made up of three riders and Mr R/R with each team facing each other ten times during the season. The U.K. Pairs will be re-introduced however to avoid doubling up second strings and mechanics will only be allowed to compete. The British Championship to be held over four rounds with each team in the top league required to track their number one rider. All meetings will be held on Sundays during August with the final to be on the 5th November. The league meetings to be held only in September and October with the play offs to take place the following March to give teams time to regroup. New governing body to take over the running of the sport, the Women’s Institute will hold their annual conference on the first Friday of each month. Finally all riders must revert to Jap and Jawa engines. All of the forgoing should fix British Speedway’s problems.

    Berwick 2023.

Understand the sentiment and I go way back to the days of Rayleigh on a Saturday night and towards the end of a meeting listening to the results from the other Saturday night tracks. Early 1970’s when characters graced the sport (Doug Templeton, Dingle Brown, Geoff Maloney etc.) and you looked forward to Saturday night racing. Where has all gone wrong? I really do not know but you can probably point the finger of blame at so many in the sports governing body but back in the day Berwick was a stalwart notwithstanding and it was always great to see the team grace the Weir raceway. Do not give up or allow it to disappear. Too many clubs have gone by the wayside. I live too far away to follow the Bandits by turning up on a Saturday night but I still want a club with such a heritage continue. Keep the faith.
  8. No everyone is entitled to an opinion but your inability to read the response is clearly a problem for you. I said in brief without writing war and peace, if it was not suitable to be used in the race, or to put it simply, damaged beyond being safely used in the restart of the race. What more do you want in an explanation. On that note I give up and will go and watch paint dry as it is clearly a better option rather than continue to responding to the clap trap from a demented subscriber who clearly has limited intelligence and little to add to any debate.
  9. What is your problem? Read the reply. If the bike was not fit to be ridden. Go shove you head up your arse and breathe in gently.
  10. No. Better still they have to push the bike to the tapes and when they go up the riders have to push start the bike, stops any gardening.
  11. Only if the bike was damaged and could not be ridden, that is what I meant. If it was rideable then none of them should be allowed back in the pits
  12. Three rides do not need to go back into the pits. Time to stop this farce of given riders a second bite of the cherry. Freddie possibly if the bike is damaged.
  13. S4C - Phil Morris commentating
  14. Cannot make easy for them. They need to be tested!!! Only joking but they are all dropping points but it is what it is.
  15. Compare the latest stats to those in the first group of races and you can see how things begin to even out. It is amazing the number of incidents and these guys generally walk away and get back on and ride as if it is part of th3 job. Not many other sports would you see high speed crashes and these guys bounce back. Something for everyone in this GP
  16. Nope. It is more about the talent and that excludes the riders. Seriously the racing has improved in the latter stages and hopefully Dan can bounce back. Need to on pin Bart back but let’s hope we have a good close final group of races.
  17. He has already done the ego thing with the quiz shows he has won and the success of his business ventures. Does not need speedway to boost it, it does not pay enough
  18. Vatcher is part of the management team who all believe that he is gods gift to speedway. Still not sure if he ever rode a speedway bike and certainly he would have trouble inspiring paint to dry. Speedway in the U.K. needs a severe kick up the arse and putting pillocks like this in charge only confirms why the sport is on its knees. Come on Vatcher get on this forum and justify your position and explain your actions. I will not expect to see a response from you or the other clowns who run speedway in the U.K. Still waiting to hear where Woffinden and Bewley were. Poland’s best can turn up but I guess it is beneath the current crop of GP riders.sums up speedway in the U.K., look after number one and sod the rest of the potential talent
  19. Thanks. Thought it was just me who recognised him as an FCW. Was he not in charge at Arena Essex and showed himself to a total dip stick? Still the powers that be hold him in high esteem and rank him amongst the great managers in British speedway who no one recognises and would not p... on him if he was on fire. Louis or someone with experience and credibility needs to get a grip and take control of these young chargers if GB is to be successful. Where are the GB Grand Prix riders and why are they not helping these guys.
  20. That is what happens when you have an inexperienced pip squeak in charge. Like the rest at the BSPL he should go but in their eyes everything is great. Vatcher the man who threatened Kent Kings and no doubt who else. Why don’t you, Vatcher, do British speedway a favour and crawl back under that stone and let the sport flourish.
  21. What team did team manager Vatcher ride for during his speedway career? Are any British top riders in attendance offering encouragement?

Ipswich Vs Kings Lynn August 10th

How qualified is he to know what is a good or bad track? If you are are a decent rider you tackle what is in front of you and adapt your set up accordingly. I guess the top scorers are crap because the track was the worse he had ridden. Basso get a life and learn from your peers, you are not in the same class as those around you. Come back when you can match Doyle etc.

Ipswich Vs Kings Lynn August 10th

Yes and I think it is 10 p m but if I recall it relates to the p a system. I remember way back watching races with no announcements as to who was riding or the results but it may have changed.

    Poole v Oxford 9/8/23 Championship

On the updates as at 20.53, 730 looking at Poole and 715 for Birmingham. Not quite the draw you would expect from a Poole fixture.
  25. Maybe not but I would rather watch Doyle and others compared to Schlein, Ellis and Few others and if that is what it takes to qualify them to compete then so be it. The current line up hardly inspires you to watch lay alone attend.
