I see that the Final has been announced for Wolverhampton on Monday 6th June. (Preumably to be on Sky).

However only one Semi-Final is listed (Sheffield, Thursday 19th May). Will this be a one-off qualifier with certain riders seeded straight through? Just thinking about Tai's non-qualification for the Final last year. I'm sure that the powers that be don't want a repeat !

its simple

14 teams = 13 home meetings then we split that gives us 7 x2 leagues which then gives us another 6 home meetings.Couple that with challenge a British semi final and the Ben fund and Kenny's meeting then that gives us 23 weeks of premier speedway and probably a couple of national league and then that's up to 25 meetings

Job sorted

I dont want to put 2 and 2 together and make 5 but i noticed this post by Rob on the Scunny forum. http://www.scunthorpespeedway.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=questions&action=display&thread=42

I also notice Scunthorpe have a Open date on may 20th (The Day after the Sheffield Semi-final). There is also no GP that weekend or any EL Meetings on that day.

Yes, I noted that quote from Rob, but with Sheffield announcing a sem-final, and their proximity to Scunthopre and no announcement from the Scorpions web site, made me think that maybe Rob had been slightly premature in his comments.

There are a few crocked riders (Woffy, King, Roynon, Smart etc), so I think that the line-up's could be pretty "fluid" ! Probably know next Tuesday when the BSPA Weekly Flyer is released.

What a tough round, the Sheffield one is! Especially with Auty, Hall, Ashworth and Cooper all being track specialists.

Good luck to Cookie, Andrew T and Deek :)

The Scunthorpe meeting is the last one of a little tour I'm doing. I've never been there before although I've seen it on TV and it looks one of the best race tracks around.

I thought Dak had dual nationality making him eligible.

Anyways Good Luck Dak.

Only if it means he is 100% confirmed as a Brit now, anything other and he shouldn't be in.
