Gemini 4,894 Posted August 19, 2012 Just had a very heavy shower but now the sun is out again. The Leicester track has very good drainage so showers won't do any harm - just water the track nicely.
Glennylion 89 Posted August 19, 2012 I'm 4 miles from track and we haven't had a drop. BBQ and in garden all day. Heard big thunder 3 ish, so depending where the others are, it may have missed it completely. As Gemini says though, it drains nicely if there has been

Glennylion 89 Posted August 19, 2012 Roynon and Lawson, far too good for MK and KN. Different kettle of fish to our 2 top dogs at the minute but the meeting in general was a real mess throughout and a real poor advert for a night at the speedway. Meeting wrapped up at 9.53 with no big spills and the ambulance never came on to the track.
robert72 845 Posted August 19, 2012 the meeting took 2hrs.30mins to complete with no serious crashes, it was a joke, crowds dropped again but after tonight alot more will forget about going there, fans shouting get on with it is not a good sign either. it also seems hemsley doesnt give a monkeys about the club, he would rather have a holiday than support and run the club, is it time he sold up and moved on,as he has ruined the clubs comeback and put the future in doubt.. This is a speedway problem, not a Leicester Speedway problem. Promoter seem to think we all want to hang around for 2.5 hours. 90-105 minutes is just fine. Another whinge. The lions had their biggest crowd of the season the other week, so your wrong (again) on attendance levels. It may have escaped your notice but there would be no Speedway without Hemsley at Leicester, so far from ruining it he`s made it happen for the enjoyment of so many. It shows the confidence Hemsley must have in his backroom staff if he feels he can take a holiday in the season. Anyway, why would you as a customer even notice that Hemsley was on holiday? Its his business and shows your obsession with him has obsessional tendancies. Edited August 19, 2012 by ballroom
flagrag 704 Posted August 20, 2012 (edited) I agree the meeting did take a while to run with no major incidents but it is not the clubs fault the referee controls the meeting and decides when to put the two mins on and informs the clerk of the source when the track grades can take place. It was always going to take a while to run anyway as with RR often had riders taking two back to back rides then not helped with 2min exclusions Edited August 20, 2012 by flagrag
