The White Knight 9,039 Posted May 28, 2015 Â Interesting choice WK. A great Rider to watch CHR. He had a very relaxed style, looked like he was riding an armchair at times. He was nicknamed 'The White Knight' because of his white leathers. Â The reason I have it as my Username on this Forum.
customhouseregular 1,651 Posted May 28, 2015 Aah!...all becomes clear Oh Wise One. I do remember seeing him ride but, shame on me, I can't remember anything about him. Â You would think I'd remember the leathers though

Andy Wilko 5 Posted May 28, 2015 The rider would have to be one of the best - and a showman - so Barry Briggs. Â However another Barry would be needed to make it a success - Barry Hearn. Â It's worked with other unfashionable sports - darts (BH & Phil Taylor) and snooker (BH & Ronnie O'Sullivan), oh for the coverage they get.. Â Some will scoff at these two sports but many more scoff at speedway at present - including many "fans" on this forum.
customhouseregular 1,651 Posted May 28, 2015 I'm not too sure about Barry Hearn but British speedway sure needs a visionary.
BANANAMAN 330 Posted May 28, 2015 I had never seen anything like Gary Guglielmi , excitement or what !! First two races demolish the fence & a fall then 4 wins !! Barracudas or Bees .. Looked like a novice reserve then become a Heat leader !! .. Worth every penny of an entrance fee ...
