There hasn't been a Christmas meeting for a number of years. Presumably due to a lack of interest. You get an initial flood of opinions about any new team after its been announced but then it goes quiet till on here till we're on the Speedway countdown clock. Built in a similar mold to Glasgow but perhaps with more questions marks against potential improvement on our part. I prefer our set up to Rye and Berwick. Sackers' three year deal has expired. On the team front I'm also pretty happy with it. The purchase of Castagna is an interesting one for me I wonder if it was Chris Louis that pursued his contract, or whether it was a case of if you want to use our asset you'll have to buy him from Sheffield's end.
