dontforgetthefueltapsbruv 10,706 Posted June 28, 2017 According to the rulebook - noplease explain.... No new averages had been issued to Prem clubs at that point had they? When did he complete 4h 4a for Poole and what date was his new 2.11 Prem ave effective?
TheScotsman 2,483 Posted June 28, 2017 Did Shanes not only go above 2 with effect from 23 June?

New era Panthers 2,055 Posted June 28, 2017 Correct Sounds like it's dead in the water to me and not even got off the ground if that makes any sense.
northyorksbear 610 Posted June 28, 2017 Sounds like it's dead in the water to me and not even got off the ground if that makes any sense. Having seen how quickly other issues are dealt with I would say it could still be "under consideration"

bigcatdiary 3,165 Posted June 28, 2017 please explain.... No new averages had been issued to Prem clubs at that point had they? When did he complete 4h 4a for Poole and what date was his new 2.11 Prem ave effective? 16.2.7 A SGB Premiership or Championship League rider will establish an MA after 4 Home and 4 Away fixtures, becoming effective 7 days after the last qualifying Meeting. Should an Established MA not be achieved to be effective from 1st May, then the MC may issue a revised MA, based upon actual rides if the Team re-declares. SHANES had done 4h and 4a by the 6th June
TheScotsman 2,483 Posted June 28, 2017 So the BSPA can allocate a new average but not publish it? Sounds a good way to run/ruin the sport.

SHANES had done 4h and 4a by the 6th June but no averages were issued/effective for any Prem rider before ALL teams completed 4h 4a. This it seems was decided under the "in the best interests of" attachment that is scattered through the regs. Tungate was not allowed to sign on his lower ave achieved despite having completed his 4h 4a until that position was reached for all teams. Until then season starting figures were the only ones used for any Prem only riders. To retrospectively mix and match the application of any fugures would be an all time low even by British Speedway standards

Swings and roundabouts. It was also originally set out for the team building limit to be 42 for both leagues after the first set of revised averages but this was altered weeks into the season.
