At a guess another 200 -300 paying spectators would be required. Its tragic that a city the size of birmingham cant support a speedway club yet people will pay to watch womens football and rugby or worse ice hockey or basketball, no offence ladies .
HGould 2,213 Posted May 23, 2019 Great result and thankfully a good outcome for Josh Pickering. Looked horrible and I think we should all be relieved with news this morning.

In a modern era of equality between men and women I think that has to be the most derogatory post towards women I have seen on this site. I’d be amazed if you out played a single on of the ladies in a sport you just mentioned above. To finish the sentence with “no offence ladies” really doesn’t justify your actions. 1

Maybe some people find watching 'women' taking part in sporting activities more exciting than speedway ?

Yep especially as its the Championship Play Off final on Monday with 30k fans going down to Wembley also. Its a real shame for me to see the crowds we have had. It cant be helped with side that was built and the start to the season we had. However the management have acted and improved the side and I genuinely thought we would have had a decent crowd last night. Sadly theres one sport that rules and it seems when that season ends its only when others get a look in.
