  1. Past hour
  2. Can’t have a track that’s small how ridiculous. Can’t see it materialising
  3. Sent an e mail to these arseholes and have called it as it is. Cannot wait for a reply.
  4. It must be indoor as it has a roof, the straights must at least 10 yards long. it’s the closest Swindon is going to get to having a team, is the cycle speedway track down at the oasis still there.
  5. Next signing to be announced will be Jaimon Lidsey
  6. Those offering top dollar simply to ride are doing no favours to anyone. Perhaps the NDL should be restricted to standard bikes or e bikes and the next step will be once they have honed there craft they make it to semi professional racing. This should a development league and to make it open to many as possible, costs need to be kept to a minimum so that those who cannot make the grade have not lost an arm and leg in-terms of investment. Entry level costs need to be kept as low as possible to attract the widest possible numbers. Expecting youngsters and the family to splash out thousands to compete is unrealistic but yet again those in charge fail to think outside the box. The sport’s governing body really is run by a selfish bunch who like promoters are all on the take but give very little back in return pretending that they are doing everyone a favour whereas the opposite is true.
  7. Is that the new speedway track by the cricket nets?
  8. Don’t you just hate knowing the bottom side in the league even before a wheels turned. SCUNTHORPE
  9. Plenty of good sides in the number 1 league in british speedway. For me the Top 4 will be between Glasgow, Workington, Poole and Berwick where hopefully Workington do the business. Struggle to see Redcar Edinburgh & Scunthorpe not being the bottom 3. Either way there will be some good racing.
  10. Today
  11. Laurence raided tolleys account on the way out
  12. They've really not got the average rules right in the NDL for me. Kenzie Cossey races 4 matches as a guest so gets a new average (3.25). When they lowered the minimum average to 2.00, that could've ended his NDL carter before it started, but thankfully King's Lynn have given him a chance. Nathan Ablitt rode 3 NL matches for Steelers & 2 NT matches for Kent Eagles, but doesn't get a new average. Despite averaging 8.92 & 9.33, he'll keep his low 8.33 average for 2026. If they're so desperate to have accurate averages, that they give guests averages, why not combine NL & NT for riders who didn't ride enough meetings? It's not like they won't count NT matches at all, as any rider who doesn't have a NL average will use the NT one for 2026. I just find it bizarre that 4 matches gains you a new average, but 5 doesn't!
  13. IIRC that pretty much cost the Colts the title.
  14. Been watching through them rose tinted glasses again, been very little passing at wimbored road for years, as good as cooper looks, he's not the best of gaters, so may struggle at Poole imo
  15. But there are new promoters and new money ! After all and although it’s amazing what they are doing up there this is the MDL TM knowing full well that my son was didn’t qualify for the league said to him, at KL ‘you ride, as although your points won’t count, they won’t get them either and we’ll win”
  16. But what's the asking price? Effectively, it can only be the cost of buying the licence to promote in the Prem. The new owner has to rebuild from the start: they'll have to pay to rent the track (without income from the food & drink outlets - unless they can agree a %age?); they'll need to generate sponsorship (and agree deals with existing goodwill sponsors); plus the hope that, once a team is announced, the die-hards will return and some new customers can be attracted.
  17. Whatever the outcome and most hope that Ipswich come to the tapes come March, April or May, generally the sport is unlikely to entice broadcasters to cover the sport live, it has been a disaster the way things have carried on thus far, sponsors probably unwilling to commit without a t v contract, riders dropping the UK, no idea of a fixture list and the sapping interest of the UK punters who are losing the will to get excited with any enthusiasm about the coming season. You have so few if any new ideas to rejuvenate a dying product and a total lack of general tangible investment in the sport at any level leaves most wondering just how much longer it can it continue in any form other than an amateur part time pursuit by a few enthusiast. Unless those in charge have kept under wraps something really special, then the sport is going nowhere and they are trying the patience of every punter who puts money into the pockets of the clubs. The riders don’t really give a toss as they will look to ride in Europe or walk away and earn a living elsewhere. It is not just an Ipswich issue it is a problem for speedway UK and the lack of updates in any shape or form from the body that allegedly runs the sport is not doing anyone any favours. Still I am sure the promoters think all is rosey in the UK speedway camp. Fools comes to mind.
  18. Truth telling my god what are you on? Meltdown as well! Wow.
  19. Am I supposed to care? I'm just laughing at how a little bit of truth telling by myself has caused you to have a full on meltdown that's on course to last a full 24 hours.
  20. Waiting patiently for months hasn't been ideal but it could've been a whole lot worse.
  21. I've never known so much continuous ignorance from one person... and the beauty is they'll never read this 😂 A lovely message from IainB. The muting is going well I see
