I was at foxhall tonight and it was the flattest meeting I've witnessed this season...why is Hawkins messing with riding orders (everyone know Adam rides best with Jason and Dan with Emil and Danny and Tom hardly ever team ride) and then right from heat 1 to 15, it was a sh*t show... how can Danny get his Foxhall bike set up so wrong after all these years... why did Adam only turn up for one heat... and heat 15 I can't get my head around it... -
Why have a North / South split? So few teams could easily have all teams meeting once home & away.

I would hope no team manager would ever tell a rider to throw a race to keep his average below a teammate, same with Leicester wanting Becker to be 2nd in the averages when injured. By all means tell a certain rider(s) to pick up bonus points on 5-1s / 3-3s but certainly don't tell them to drop points on purpose. -

Both teams race at home in the play-offs - Today

I think one league. The way i look at it is if we lose the top riders then so be it. the standard of riders will be the same so good close racing should be at every track and league will be well balanced. We have a range of different tracks compared to poland so if riders want to improve and learn how to adjust to all tracks they should want to ride in the uk.

Sometimes… is every-time with Ipswich though. If they don’t do this season with that team then I don’t hold out much hope any other year. Sometimes, people need to just stand up and be counted, and win a title. -

Equally we as fans have to understand the saying no plan survives first contact - the beauty of sport of whilst we all turn up and hope and expect our team to win (or lose) sometimes things just don’t work out - sometimes sh it just happens! -

It was stated last week Sheffield win both matches and they finish top. -

But are not Ipswich still 3 points ahead so if Sheffield win at home they are level so it would go down to points difference. -

Whilst I agree with what you said in principle, it’s a different feeling when you are at the stadium, paid £24, and the team just doesn’t perform when it is time to shine, same as Lynn knocking us out of the cup, we will get knocked out of play offs if the same team performance arises next week. The passion of the sports fan is what keeps the sport alive, not the casual fan who dips in and out. Speedway is different from stock cars, this is your team, it’s your club, these riders should be riding for your home town and representing it as best they can, in my personal opinion. -

Well said - sometimes you just have to live in and enjoy the moment, and on that note congrats to Sheffield, Ipswich will have to show much more in the playoffs which I am sure they will! -

Wasn't there so can't comment on the actual performance. Just saying that you can't assume that Sheffield would have finished top. Anything could have happened last night that could have affected performances today. It just seems that every season, supposed supporters of speedway seem to want to spend the whole time ripping it to pieces and finding fault with it rather than enjoying what we have. The table is what it is, the playoffs are what they are. Whether you agree with them or not, that is how the sport functions now. Better to embrace it than vilify it. Speedway is a secondary sport to me as I was brought up on 4 wheeled motorsport and spend my weekends travelling the country watching stock car racing. By the same token as many on here say about speedway, stock car racing is nowhere near the sport it was in the 70s and 80s, but you can either let that get you down and moan about it, or you can enjoy what you have while it is still there. I have said for a while that stock car racing has 10-15 years left as either environmentalists or H&S will bring it to an end. I don't want to be sat there when it is all gone wishing I had done more, I would much rather get the most out of what is on offer while I still can. -
Haven't been impressed with the Witches for a couple of months now. If the Witches don't get it right in the play-offs then Ipswich will be the biggest disappointment of the 2025 season and I include Birmingham and Oxford in that statement.

Agree with all of that. -
Don’t agree with that. It was just a very flat and poor performance, and Sheffield were very good and thoroughly deserved their win. Pickering was excellent

Well that is so embarrassing for the Ipswich riders, needing to be beaten away to then decide to turn up at home, if that’s the case they have disrespected all the paying home fans, so I would suggest the above is untrue or there would be many unhapppy fans. Also, Brennan commented that Sheffield were gating better and we have things still to work on for next week. So let’s as Ipswich fans, stop making excuses for them. -

But had Sheffield won the home leg, then maybe the Ipswich riders would have been a bit more up for it tonight and wouldn't have lost, so the table would still have looked the same as it does now. -

Does nobody have an issue this year with it being picked again then? All the comments about the joke of speedway and this one is just being accepted by people 🤦🏼 I’m not being funny but die hard fans accept it as they love the sport… but this ish needs to be stopped if you want to appeal to a wider audience who wouldn’t bother with it again. -

Funny how we completed our league fixtures ahead of you then… the record books also state you were the ones who cancelled a fixture between us this season not the other way round. -

Sheffield would have preferred us in play offs. So them not completing the season in time has cost them the easier semi. so at least no one’s gained anything from it this time -
Apologies!

Nobody making any comments about how it should have been Sheffield vs Belle Vue next week? Everyone knows Ipswich would have been beaten at Sheffield thus making the league : 1. Sheffield 2. Ipswich 3. Leicester 4. Belle Vue Same circus as last year and same clowns involved. -

Nothing meeting for Ipswich other than a chance to lower some of them averages and to test things ready for next week. whereas for Sheffield it meant a lot more wanting to get 2nd spot so they have the Thursday leg at home. And it shown. next week will be won or lost on Monday
