Fill in the gaps job? 19.27 or 20.30 left 1. 2. 3. 4. K. Rew 6.19 5. T. Brennan 7.05 6. J. Jenkins 4.49 or 3.46 7. J. Edwards (RS)
-
Brennan was never joining Sheffield imo. It's by far his weakest PREM track so I don't think Sheffield would even consider splashing over 7.00 Team Building Points on him tbh.

8%, has been for some years
-
I dont see tai racing in UK tbh, think speedwaygp are wrong. In fact. I dont see this racing at all next season š
-
Holder's always come as a pair don't they? If interested in British Speedway then Rew is surely in the engine room at Ipswich.
-
Or third option, Sheffield have someone else other than Chris Holder. Iām surprised Rew hasnāt been snapped up as yet. Big fan personally and so much more to come. Another great result for him today https://fimspeedway.com/news/rew-claims-fim-oceania-crown
-
So I make the averages the following. Jack Holder 9.08 Chris Holder 6.84 Anders Rowe 5.22 Leon Flint 5.05 Jye Etheridge 3.00 = 29.19 Which leaves 7.81 so either Tai gets 10% Total Reduction on his GSA which takes it from 8.67 to 7.77 or SpeedwayGP is wrong and Tai is the Ipswich No.1.
-
There is no 8% reduction. It's only in the championship that. Probably so scunthorpe (godfrey) can sign auty and garrity on very low averages

-
They all do seem to be correct, so if that is a mistake then itās the only one made. If he gets the 8% reduction as well as the British reduction, then that then creates a vacancy big enough for Chris Holder to add to the other options I mentioned earlier. A top three of Jack Holder, Chris Holder AND Woffinden, would be some spearhead in a weakened league of 37 points! Pickering would have to join either Ipswich or a potential sixth team if he wants a Premiership ride this year. Perhaps there is substance to the rumour he was pricing himself out of a return to Sheffield? No Brennan for Sheffield either. Both probably Ipswich bound.
-
The fact that Cookie has been given yet another opportunity to ride is a reflection on the short fall of riders willing to race in this country. Whilst I hope he can āfind himselfā next season for the benefit of Worky and UK speedway, the Cometās promotion should already be looking at eligible replacements on his average in readiness for the inevitable.
-
It makes sense being a Champ only rule, means a rider like Nathan Ablitt who upped his average then doesn't get a team, gets a better chance if returning etc. Not sure it'd be ideal of a rider like Robert Lambert could come back on a far lower average in the Prem if he missed multiple seasons just racing abroad.

Speedway is dangerous as we all know. The ageing spectator demograph however might feel even more vulnerable knowing that only a mesh fence a few feet high separates them from Garrity. So long as they do not have anything valuable in their possession though, things should be fine. In defence of Garrity, heās probably looking at Craig Cook and thinking heās repeatedly let so many people down and continues to get offers to ride.
-
All his clubs on there are correct. Every rider have there 2026 clubs. I remember they did this a few years ago, putting riders clubs down before they were actually announced
-
Can't see any reason why he wouldn't.
-
I'd rather it the other way around. Cookie at home was very good two seasons ago. Batch is so much better away than he is at home
-
But will he get a ACU licence
-
Yes. The TV ones at Ipswich last season were not that much different to any other meetings in terms of length and stop/start. Now some people have an issue with the grading breaks š
-
But Tai qualifies under the old rule that has been in the rulebook for several years, so gets his 8% reduction come what may.

2026 Premiership is Go! - At least 5 teams
arnieg replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The league is a single competition so it makes no sense at all and is a positively stupid idea. [How for example do averages work with different team formats]. What might be workable [the Danes already do it] is different formats for the play-offs. However what would be an excellent idea would be for different formats for the KO Cup and the 'mystery' new competition. -
Do they have his other 2 clubs correct for 2026 ? And was he one of their announced riders before his accident ?

Workington 2026

Delighted to see Cook back this season. Iāve been critical of some instances involving him in the past, but a British speedway without Craig Cook is a sadder, less entertaining and lower in quality place. Really strong side being built at Northside. -
Do you think? I only ever went to the play off televised meetings and they were still very stop start with nothing going on between ad breaks. I suppose Mr Morris did standardise the track grading intervals so it probably seemed more like a non televised meeting even when the cameras were there due to this.
