With upto 7.79 to play with, the new May averages suggest Schlein, Sedgman, Howarth, Batchelor as the best 7+ point options?
-
Questions:
Will Plymouth have a guest at 1 or go with r/r? (Assuming Covatti not yet fit)
Will Poole have a guest at 3 or go with r/r? (Tom Brennan missing on Euro duty)
Thoughts on the above and likely score...........?

Kye has the chance to be really hard (but fair) on Hagon in the first lap and shuts off. Paco similar later in the heat. No disrespect to Sam but he shouldn’t be living with either of them at the moment yet he only lost second on the line.
Sam needs to learn that he can't keep to the outside line all the time. As exciting as it was to see it live, he needed to just cutback to the inside on the final lap imo.

Anyone into conspiracy theories might think the stadium people don't want speedway to continue?! stadium electrics. Hmmmm!?
As for the Ref's decision to continue with no red lights, all the red flag staff were fully briefed as to the temporary arrangements using the 'rider exclusion lights'.

Neither set the world alight did they, scoring 3 and 0 respectively.

Paco and Tobias should have some decent races - they are good mates!

Due to rain offs this is only our second meeting of the season since the big home win over Oxford on Good-Friday.
Looking at both teams 1-7 I feel that Poole have the edge.
Edinburgh have Josh Picketing back leading the team backed up by Justin Sedgmen, a good top two. Kye Thomsom being the third heat leader. I feel that Poole have a stronger top three with Richard, Ben and Tom.
The Monarchs have Paco Castagna and Lasse Fredriksen as second strings and the Pirates have Zach Cook and Tobias Thomsen.
If Tobias has a good meeting to back up Zach than hopefully they Wiil out point the two Monarchs.
This leaves the reserve pairings.
Sam Hagon and Max Perry for Poole against Connor Coles and Max James for the Monarchs.
Personally I think Sam has the beating of both of them and Max Perry should at least see off Max James.
Home win for Poole not sure by how many points but enough for us to take up to Armadale for the second leg.
Thoughts?
Tobias scored a decent 11 points in Denmark today so should be on it on Wednesday. 53-37 I reckon

Good win by the 6-man Glads.

You would think using one of their own assets to guest would be a positive?!

A strong performance by the Glads. Not sure that using a 2nd string to guest at 1 was the best idea but then again using r/r at Scunthorpe didn't exactly work either!

Bringing Riss in for Lampart would've left the engine room looking like this going by GSA's (2. Z. Cook......3. Worrall.......4. Brennan with Riss at 6)
But Klindt for Lampart leaves it looking like this (2. Brennan.....3. Klindt.....4. Worrall with Z. Cook at 6)
On current form it shouldn't be too long before Zach is a Prem heat leader!

Damaged his foot on Thursday apparently! (At least that was the reason given!)

I think any potential issue is with the newly awaited BCP Council 'Local Plan' which is currently in the 'public consultation' stage!
The plan takes each council ward-by-ward and shows the Poole stadium site within the Poole Town Centre ward as a 'potential area for development'. This is no different to previous plans under the old Poole Council, and has no current planning applications attached to the site, despite part of the site (railway sidings and Stadium lorry park area) previously being suggested for housing, whilst retaining the stadium itself..
Generally the Council has said it does not want to lose any sports/leisure facilities, (it is currently working with Poole Town FC to source a new facility!) but nevertheless has targets for new houses/accommodation to be met over the next 15 years or so.
Personally, I wouldn't see the Stadium site as a 'priority' area for development by the Council as there are several other sites identified across the whole B'mth/Christchurch/Poole area which I would see of higher priority. BUT a planning application could be submitted and fully funded by any third party partner ('cos the Council don't have the money!). It would be at that time that any protests and objections from speedway fans and anyone else against such developments would become necessary.
The housing development market isn't that buoyant at the moment so I guess its WATCH THIS SPACE for the time being..............!
In any case, it would likely be several years for any similar circumstances to come about, so as long as the rental of the stadium for speedway is kept at a reasonable level then I see Poole Speedway continuing for a good while yet. (Just my personal opinion!)

A shame it was off last night. No speedway for me until 15th May v Workington due to holidays.
At least I can purchase the Poole stream which is excellent value for money and recommend for opposition fans who can’t make it live.
Poole v Plymouth rearranged for Weds May 1st!
(ps. Also rumoured that Oxford v Poole rearranged for Weds 8th May - not confirmed as yet, but being mentioned at Oxford on Thurs!!)

So Anders Rowe confirmed as a guest at no.1 for Plymouth on Wednesday. Very brave!!!

With only a few weeks into the season I have purchased two Birmingham's an Oxford a Berwick and a Peter Craven memorial along with the BSN season pass that Santa got me and I have to say the quality has been outstanding. The commentary and camera work have been fantastic, Rory is an excellent addition to the BSN crew.
From a few years back when you were paying "bob" 12 quid for an iPhone stream and shocking audio it has improved ten fold, long may it continue as long as my bank balance can afford it I'll be getting as many as I can.
Additionally it saves me from watching the regular weekly crap of love island, celebrity jungle crap and married at first sight.
They are all still available on 'catch-up'!!!

If he's in for several meetings then he should be on his own average ( like Scotty covering for Pawlicki) and therefore won't be at 1. If he's just a guest on Wednesday then he'll assume Covattis average at 1.

Possibly because they team they've announced may not be the 1-7 that's declared?!

There must be SOME races when the opposition pass Poole riders?
It's a Poole thread and the races are from Pirates TV. If you want something else try BSN.
