There used to be a well run track at the EOES that was for car racing but the landlords got rid of it many years ago and I don't think they would want any sort of car racing on the current speedway track.

Looked more like you picking on someone to me. I wonder how big a phone box Jeremy Corbyn Fan, ZagarRacing, Reading Racer and Debbs would need to be able to hold a meeting?

I can agree with that BUT they agreed to run the meeting and then changed their minds half way through the season. If they didn't know what sort of crowd would attend then whoever agreed to run a round is a fool. If they had said no at the beginning of the season and never agreed with whatever reasons they felt were justified that is one thing but dropping the fixture when junior riders and their families will have made plans is totally wrong. Poole gets a lot of unjustified criticism, as well as some justified, but this is a dreadful let down for the riders of the future who I hope when they become stars will treat Poole the way they are being treated as juniors.

I do not understand the comments about Poole racing on 22nd August when the Under 16 Championship round was due to take place. No fixture is shown on the BSPA or Poole websites, so it appears that it has been cancelled due to the smaller crowd that often attends these meetings. If that is the case why did Poole Speedway agree to the meeting in the first place? I saw two rounds of this championship at Rye House and very entertaining they were. OK, out of the 40 odd races only about a quarter were close but the meetings were still well worth going to. I have heard many fans over the years who say such meetings should be supported but they always had an excuse not to attend themselves. Now it appears Poole Speedway have joined the list of saying what a good idea something is but not being willing to support that idea. Very sad but not surprised.

Would that be North Korean style with the Canon aimed at him? It was not a good evening for Buster last night with Panthers being joined by the Witches and the Stars in losing important meetings.

I always try to remain positive! Currently I am positive the BSPA are not very good at their job.

I would love to but fear they could starve to death if we locked the doors.

Can someone sort out the repeating groove on this track thread, it is getting boring.

To make the regional league system work if 14 teams were racing you could have two 7 team divisions (North and South). Teams could race teams in their own division home and away twice and those in the other division home and away once. That would give 18 home/18 away meetings. The top three in each division could then go forward to the league finals meeting each of the other five teams home and away before the top two teams meet in the League Finals. The points from all meetings up to that point would be added together to decide the top two meaning being top of your division would be worthwhile. The 8 teams who were not in the finals could be split into two groups of four (3 meetings at home and 3 away) with the top from each group meeting for the National Trophy. All this gives a full fixture list of meetings that all mean something with no need for any filler competitions and a mixture of local derbies plus the interest of having teams from afar visiting.

At any pub or event always ask for a glass iced tap water which comes out £2.40 cheaper than you paid and I have never had anywhere refuse to supply the tap water although a few do moan!

I have a lot of sympathy for Kyle for the situation he has been left in. Before I retired from working for London Underground I was twice prescribed drugs by doctors that were on the banned list for Safety Critical work. I told the doctors that I could not take anything that was on the list and they assured me that what I had been prescribed were not a problem for me. Thankfully I asked a lot of questions before taking them and was very glad I had as on the second occaision I was Drugs and Alcohol tested and would have failed which would have lost me my job. When I told the doctor he said that what I take is up to me but he had told me it was OK so I consider he was in the wrong but I could not convince him of that. I am very pleased that Kyle has been cleared of any wrong doing and hope this incident will act as a wake up call to all riders so they do not fall into the same trap.

All this cruelty to plants should not be allowed.

According to the BSPA website the drugs in Kyle's system were prescribed by the hospital and he is cleared to race.

I am sure Wimbledon had notices about abandoned meetings for both Speedway and Dog Racing which were on the outside of the turnstiles.

Sadly heat two is the one race that does not have a time on Speedway Updates. I suspect the time may not have been announced.

NL Fours were due at King's Lynn on 7th July but now at Stoke on 13th July. Stoke site has the details as does BSPA fixture list.

Well done British Speedway, having not seen a meeting all season due to all the London tracks, Arena Essex and Rye House all no longer having racing I had finally decided to go to Kings Lynn for the NL Fours. Advance train ticket and hotel booked only for the date and track to be changed! This is not the first time this has happened to me but it is the last given that the reason for moving the meeting is riders not being available but on the new date other teams will have riders who are not available. I wonder if it depends on which team is missing riders as to how important it is considered? EDIT:- BSPA website has information on a contact if you are in my situation which is very fair. I am glad to say that I had already persuaded the hotel to refund and by a piece of very good luck a friend is spending the weekend with family in Kings Lynn that weekend and was moaning about the cost of rail tickets. My advance ticket was a lot cheaper than he had found so he has now got my ticket and we are both happy. Well done the organisers for thinking about the effects of the change they have made.

Personally I am a Stock Car and Hot Rod fan who nowadays regards Bangers as a chance to get a burger or go to the toilet! There is no excuse to not tidy up after yourself in any walk of life.

I never saw Speedway at Oxford although I did see Spedeworth, PRI and BriSCA Stock Car, Hot Rod and Banger racing there. Not a good track for the cars due to the narrow entrance and exits from the bends.
