Joanne 0 Posted August 23, 2004 I must be getting old I thought they were just a load of noise. The band outside the stadium were better singing Status Quo, Bruce Springteen songs etc etc.

Jojo 0 Posted August 23, 2004 You have a good time then Jo ? (Apols. if I've missed your appropriate post) Funny you should say that Joanne, for some Swedes sat in front of us with their 'QUO' belts on, were claiming that Rick Parfitt (not sure how to spell) was actually at the meeting! Addy, yes we had a great time.. for us it is not just about the speedway match, but having a totally fun weekend away. Nicki, Hans and Peter Ljung were on our plane, the Gothia Towers Hotel was just awesome, the roller coaster etc in the fairground was hilarious, the friendly Swedes in the bars and resturants helped, the weather stayed kind to us, and the speedway itself was enjoyable. All in all, a great weekend

Gave the fairground a miss after the Pleasure Beach in Blackpool Walked down to that area last night, the Gothia Towers looked really nice, JoJo.
