Ekstra Liga Grand Final - 11-09-05

Recommended Posts

If Polskizuzel's info is correct then it is already agreed that he rides for BV.But yes,how quickly do they act. With next season,i don't know, but was thinking this would be his last year anyway  Think they would be a bit more understanding in this case than with Ulamek if he really did defy his club

As an added extra today, 11 September, 2005, we have the first leg of the battle to see who'll replace Zielona Gora in the Ekstra Liga next season. It should've been a PK-Max battle, but, of course, Rzeszow are without their injured star. However, they do have Ipswich's "missing" Pole Baran in their ranks. One of these sides will be Ekstra Liga next season, but which one?

I'm led to believe that Torun's president is the uber-boss of Polish speedway. It's Terry Russell, if you like.

How?

Just get a British one, can't he

I think the point with Andy is that he is effectively a Pole.

If he rides in the same team as another "foreigner" I guess his Polish license classifies him as a "Pole".

He could get a British license but that would mean he would no longer be a "Pole" for the purposes of the Polish league and his usefulness would be considerably diminished. (Am I making sense here)

What this boils down to is yet another very sticky situation for A Smith...

Racer X

Understood. But maybe there is no conflict as Polskizuzel says.Maybe it was always agreed that his British commitments come first. And of course if there is a conflict when do they know he isn't riding? An hour before the meeting? Is it too late by then?He gets an ACU licence for the rest of the season. Then if he is wanted by a Polish side next year(after all he might already know he isn't wanted by his club)he gets a new Polsh licence

Yes,i would have thought so.There are a number of Polish riders riding here with German licences.Kowalski and Frankow(were last season at least),Sekula and Schmidt. Its a convenience, don't think Stralsund and Wolfslake really have much control over them though. When these agreements are made i think the clubs know where the riders priorities lie.

Anyway good to see Klingberg in form before the "Big one" at Brokstedt ;) Just wish Risager would start scoring as well

So, Tarnow get a 22 point lead to take to Bydgoszcz. Will it be enough? And will Bydgoszcz come to regret Pepe's two exclusions?

Not an entirely unexpected result, but not one that Bydgoszcz would have been hoping for. I think Tarnow have done enough to make sure of their victory now.

Not unexpectedly, the real difference between the teams was at the bottom of the teams. Kolodziej and Rempala hitting paid 23 compared to Klecha and Buczkowski's 5.

I'm looking forward to hearing what the Bydgoszcz fans have to say about the meeting, but it sounds like PePe was very harshly done by, at least in his first exclusion. From the report I have seen, PePe was going around the outside of Jacek Gollob who shut the door on him causing both riders to come off at high speed, with the Bydgoszcz man being controversially excluded.

The second fall was after Tomek Gollob dived inside of PePe in heat 16. I haven't seen any suggestion of whether Gollob actually hit him or not, maybe Mateusz or Lawrence could clarify. :)

Wojaczek must have been high on crack or drunk. After Pepe got up and threw his goggles on the track I thought he was going to pull a "Kasprzak" on Jacek, who laid on the track for some time after his bike pounced on to his back with a lot of force.

Ht 10..Burza, J Gollob, Buczkowski, Protasiewicz [Ex] 5-1 (38-22)

J.Gollob smashed PePe into the fence using his elbow as well and that f..ker Wojaczek excluded PePe. I've never seen anything like that before and never been so angry like yesterday! J.Gollob rode totally reckless and Wojaczek has proved once again how stupid/blind he is.. One word to describe it: SCANDAL

And it's not only my opinion as a guy from Bydgoszcz but almost everywhere (apart from Tarnow of course..) fans share this view.

Bydgoszcz weren't good yesterday but such an idiotic decision only finished us mentally... But our riders fought till the end and I'm proud of them.

That decision caused a very bad atmosphere in the pits and mainly at the audience. We had been supporting favourably applausing riders of both teams till the heat 10 but then an unnecessary aggression exploded.

The riot police got in and pacified some of most aggressive ultras. Finally there were more riot police units than fans in our Bydgoszcz sector... We left the stadium 45 minutes after the match ended because of security reasons. Then a convoy of police vans had to escort us throught Tarnow and far away from the suburbs if wanted to come back home in one piece...

That all was really not gonna happen if the match would be played fair...

Now looking forward to the revenge in Bydgoszcz. I still believe in our team.

"Protasiewicz asem, Wojaczek kutasem!" - translation only via pm

I think there was no contact between them but I'd have to watch on tv to be 100% sure. Anyway, it was rather PePe's fault this time. Unlike to the situation in the heat 10

PS.

My friend had a call from the management of Polonia about yesterday. Everyone's there even more angry than we and there will be no mercy on 25/09.

We got a free hand for fence-banners, riders have got a free hand for their ride at the track... Tarnow started, we will finish

About heat 15th - I`m almos sure that there no contact between Gollob and Pepe. Pepe led the race, but in entering of 2nd corner he rode to wide, and Gollob attacked Pepe from the inside. Pepe was tat high speed - if he try slow down - Gollob could hit Pepe`s bike, and propably they colud fall down both. But pepe did not slown down and he entered 2nd corner too fast - and the air-fence was caloser and closer.....

About Pepe`s ride - he coud get 2 or 3 pts more. Except this stupid exclusion.

Every fan of Bydgoszcz preparing wistles for 25/09 - there will be "rumble" stadium :/
