Gp Semi,s July 8-9

Recommended Posts

I totally agree with recent posts about how lee richardson and eddie kennett have been selected.

Surely if there were qualifers from the british final then they should do it. What's the point of saying that there are qualifers from the british final if nobody wants to do it!

Maybe a better way to do it would be to ask the best riders first eg. nicholls, loram, stead etc.. if they want to do the qualifers.

If they don't then just go down the list of riders, maybe in average order, until you get the riders who want to do them. Then at least you would of asked the best available riders if they want to do them.

Maybe this should be done for all other country's qualifers? At least then you could say that the best riders would be in it, if they want to do them!

I've also noticed that 3 go through from the qualifers, the top 8 from this year and 4 nominated riders.

Great, we are going to need another nomination again for next season!

Can only see scotty being in the gp's next season unless bomber or steady can come through the qualifers.

Nicholls will get a nomination if he doesn't finish in the top 8, thats why he's not bothered about doing the qualifiers. But Richardson won't.

To be fair to Richardson, he doesn't deserve to get a nomination does he? so going through the qualifiers is his only realistic way of a future in the Grand Prix , but alas he's going to come up short yet again.

If Kolodziej doesn't qualify on his home track it will be a MAJOR surprise. Given his home track knowledge I'd expect him not to drop many points at all.

Rico

Zagar has pulled out as preferred to ride for reading at eastbourne not sure who wil take his place

Cant believe that, Matej isnt a dead cert qualifier and i suspect wouldnt want to be relying on a possible nominated spot.

Where does it say this, theres nothing on the Bulldogs site

You can pick 2 more from the last quali.

I would guess any 2 from Smoli,Dryml and Ruud.In fact i could see all 3 qualifying before one of the Brits.

Must also say i'm surprised that Mikke Bjerk can get into this competition.Ithought all federations were to be realistic in their nominations.Seen him in the Danish 1st Division and he is a conference level rider imo.If Norway haven't a better rider then another federation should have been given the spot.

Here are the latest news from FIM about GP qualifiers:

QR1 in Tarnow (POL) 08.07.06: Rider N° 7, Mathias SCHULTZ (DMSB) has been replaced by Tobias KRONER (DMSB).

QR2 in Miskolc (HUN) 09.07.06: Rider N° 8, Matej ZAGAR (AMZS) has been replaced by Izak SANTEJ (AMZS)

Furthermore, the AMA (USA) had withdrawn one of their rider N° 3, Brent WERNER and had no rider to replace him. Consequently, the CCP Bureau offered the place to the SVEMO (SWE) who nominated Peter LJUNG in this meeting.

And if Nicholls has a single shred of integrity, he'll turn it down. After all, Nicholls has been quoted as saying: "If I'm not in the top eight at the end of the season, it means I haven't done my work...I've had long enough in the GPs now and if I don't get into the top eight by riding well enough, then I don't deserve to be there."

Is it true that Lee Richardson will now be missing and replaced by Andy Smith

"The SML (FIN) had withdrawn Joonas KYLMAKORPI (SML) N° 3, injured, and had no rider to replace him. Consequently , the CCP Bureau offered the place to the DMU (DEN) who nominated Henrik MOLLER in this meeting."

No finns in the GP next year then....
